There is simply too much friction reading a resume right now, so the best way for you to land interviews is by direct message on LinkedIn BUT LET ME BE CRYSTAL CLEAR. You still have to mass apply, because when companies ask you if you have applied yet in the portal and you say no then you have to start from scratch. It’s a lot of work I know and it sucks, but you got to do it. In 2025 mark my words at the rate AI is moving you will all by interviewing with holograms. I am not joking at all. There will be AI recruiting software that will sort, sift, screen (oh yes interview you), and schedule the second round interview. This is why I am telling everybody to land this job as soon as possible and to start a brand (more on that later), but for now you need to deliver a more impactful message to pitch your resume. 9 Things I hate about working at Authentic: 1. Every last one of my team members is ridiculously talented, my jaw hurts from constantly dropping it when I peak at projects in our dropbox. (visit https://bit.ly/4cLwEyN to see why) 2. Our clients have insanely gorgeous property portfolios and now my standards for apartment architecture and design are too high. 3. Authentic sent us to Boston for our company retreat and the Corporate Cup, I’m getting blown up by hockey recruiters begging me to join their relay team for next year. (Because I’m so athletic at hockey relays) 4. Anytime someone asks me "so how's the new job?" I accidentally talk their ear off because leadership empowers you to make an impact from day one. 5. The team is dangerously good at Music League and now my work playlists are too good and my airpods keep dying midday. 6. The topics I get to write about for Transforming Cities are so interesting and relevant that I'm constantly pointing out real world examples in the car to friends and family. Now Kevin knows more about on-site activation than he ever thought he would. 🙃 7. Weekends don't hit the same anymore because I have work/life balance all week. 8. I can't relate to memes about hating work. 9. Everyone keeps asking me if we're hiring! Who can relate? 🤔

To experienced or not a fit because of previous role Recently applied to a few jobs, all of which I received a message stating "we appreciate your application but have decided not to move forward with your application" So I asked a couple of companies why here is one response I received. "Hey Jeff, we appreciate you reaching out. We looked back at your application, and it looks like the reasons you were moved to the "not a fit" stack were location and experience. This position is a full-time traveling position, leading teams working on new stores and remodels. Since you have been in many upper management roles, we felt like the job description and pay range were likely less than what you were accustomed to. Secondly, we primarily operate in the South and East coast, so Missouri is pretty far out. Linkedin doesn't give us a good way to post for a specific geographic area. We have received a high volume of applications and unfortunately can't talk to everyone, so we have to use some kind of criteria to begin to narrow things down. We do apologize if we have made any incorrect assumptions and would be happy to set up a call if you are indeed looking to travel and lead teams in the field." The posted position was for "Traveling Site Supervisor" job description explained that it was a merchandising role, from new store to impact presentations. Those people who know me and what I am/was impactful in my career know that that work is a passion for me. I just don't understand why?

Get to Know John McCann 1. Can you tell us a little about yourself and your past roles at Betson? How long have you been with the company.    I have been with the company for 35 years. I started in the Moonachie office as a bench technician, then moved to the Carlstadt office as service manager. In 1998, I moved to Buena Park, CA, as operations manager, and in August 2022, I moved to Henderson, NV, to open the Betson Las Vegas office.   2. What do you enjoy most about working at Betson?   The feeling of family, not just a job.   3. Can you share a memorable project or experience you’ve had while working here?   Transforming a completely new building into the facility that Betson Las Vegas has become.   4. What drew you to the arcade game industry?   I had just moved back to New Jersey from Canada and was looking for work. While working with a placement agency, an opportunity with Betson became available and it sounded very interesting.   5. How do you stay motivated and inspired in your role?   My motivation comes from when an installation is finished and see the outcome. Working and training other employees. Seeing how all the hard work and dedication I have helped the company.   6. What are some of your favorite arcade games, and why?   I like skeeball, basketball, and the old school coin pusher games. They remind me of growing up on the Jersey Shore.   7. Outside of work, what are your hobbies and interests?   Just started getting into off-roading. Also watching Baseball and football. I also like to cook and barbecue.   8. What are you most excited about for your new role?    The ability to help develop new products and how they will help the company expand its overall growth. I also support the OEM sales team and help grow that area.
