🌟 Community Spotlight: Celebration High School Storm Market 🌟 At Smart City Telecom, giving back to our community is at the heart of what we do. We're proud to support Celebration High School's Storm Market, a student-focused food market that provides essential groceries to those in need. The market, led by Samuel Martinez, Dean of Students, operates entirely on donations, allowing students to pick up food at no cost, ensuring no one goes hungry. His dedication to these students and their well-being is truly inspiring. We’re honored to play a part in this incredible initiative. Together, we can help students thrive in and out of the classroom. 💙 🎥 Watch how Mr. Martinez and the Storm Market are making a difference: https://lnkd.in/efYXwHFB #SmartCityTelecom #CommunitySupport #StormMarket #CelebrationHighSchool #GivingBack

"Here's $1M for your school, and here's what I want you to spend it on". Sound familiar ED? Before I continue, I know very well that having close relationships with big donors who support your school is important. It's one of the many ways executive directors secure funding. Schools often need a whole other budget for needs that go beyond just existing and staying afloat. What about extracurricular activities? Tutoring for students who are behind in their studies? What if the funding that you have can't be used for that? The beauty of working with CauseMatch isn't JUST about raising more money for your school. It's about setting a goal of what you need it for, uniting your entire community, and growing a giant pool of new donors and supporters. So whether you need to raise money to build a building, grow your staff, add tutoring, or even increase your staff's salaries (teachers should get paid more...I said it), that'll be your campaign. Do you rely on big donors?

https://lnkd.in/dVfPtqrQ: Your contribution, whether it covers the cost of a school uniform, a month's transport fees, or supports completing their home, will make a tangible difference in their lives. Share Their Story: Spread awareness within your networks. The more people who know about this family's situation, the greater our collective impact can be in providing them with the support they need. Offer Support: Beyond financial donations, consider offering emotional support or resources that could aid in the father’s recovery and support the children’s education journey. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in helping this family rebuild and thrive.

The recent success of the "Little Treasures Fundraising Sale" at my kids' school was truly inspiring! Working alongside a team of dedicated parents, I had the privilege to organize a sale featuring gently used items such as kids' toys, books, shoes, and winter gear donated by school families. This event not only achieved our fundraising goals but also created meaningful connections and emphasized the value of sustainability within our community. Key Outcomes: **Raised Funds for School Programs: Over $700 was raised, directly supporting art performances and field trips, enriching students' educational experiences. **Fostered a Culture of Sharing and Sustainability: The event encouraged a cycle of generosity and environmental responsibility, promoting community values. **Provided Affordable Options for Families: Families accessed quality, gently used children's items at reasonable prices, saving on seasonal essentials. **Supported Local Non-Profit Organizations: Leftover items were donated to local charities, further extending the event's positive impact to underserved families. This initiative was more than just a fundraiser—it was a celebration of community spirit, sustainability, and collective effort. Personally, I felt honored to apply my project management, event planning, marketing, and sales skills in such a meaningful way. It also became a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate professional pride to my kids, showing them how skills can make a difference. #CommunitySupport #Sustainability #FundraisingSuccess

Those brownies at your local school fundraiser might be feeding more than hunger; they may also be feeding systemic inequity. School fundraisers help communities support local education, but new research shows they might actually increase gaps in educational opportunities. Schools in wealthier areas raise much more money, giving their students access to extra resources, while schools in less wealthy areas often can’t raise as much, so they miss out. For example, in 2017, the 10% of Ontario schools with the highest parental income levels raised 49 times what was raised by the 10% of schools with the lowest parental income levels!
