On today's International Day of Living Together in #Peace🕊️, we celebrate the people and communities in Iraq who unleash their #peacebuilding potential by bringing communities closer, promoting understanding and creating a brighter future for all. Since 2016, we have supported peacebuilding activities by creating spaces for community exchanges and implementing inclusive, conflict-reducing measures. In diverse areas and cities of Iraq, such as Anbar, Nineveh and Baghdad, for example, we facilitate peace exchanges between communities and local governments to address local needs. This has resulted in action plans for peaceful community development and peace agreements resolving long-standing disputes, such as those concerning water and electricity.
