Sharing highlights from our annual Prozone Xpress Logistics Inc Sportsfest: I've always wanted to celebrate our anniversary through movement. Movement, to me, is healing—it's fun and promotes teamwork, which is one of our core values. It's a value I hope everyone embraces, not just today but in everything we do. While we’re usually focused on delivering for our customers, today was about switching things up—a chance to unwind, reconnect, and strengthen relationships across teams. Sometimes, having fun is just what we need to refresh and refocus. As part of the day, we also shared some guiding principles for success: ✨ A positive outlook to inspire ourselves and others 💪 Hard work to drive progress 🛠 Resourcefulness to tackle challenge This year’s theme is captured beautifully in a song my son created using AI—an idea inspired by a lesson he picked up from Eric P., a tech leader we met in Bali. July felt like the longest month ever. Start of the month, I was in Langkawi for a work trip with my client. End of the month, I was setting up Synapze Sdn Bhd’s office with new teammates. It felt like two totally different worlds. There were times where I felt like I was in limbo. I’m grateful to have good people around me to talk it out and process what’s been happening. There were a lot of anxiety in the initial stages which I managed to work through. I’m in a good place now. I don’t tell them but the team has been a good support in this transition period. They’ve been fun and easy to work with in spite of the not-so-easy projects. The work is challenging enough for me. More responsibilities, more stakeholders, higher stakes. It scratches my brain in the right places. I find fulfilment in handling a variety of tasks, instead of always being in front of a screen, logging away hours. Micromanagement is non-existent and I’m empowered to work quite independently, which I appreciate and enjoy. We’re also encouraged to speak up and this transparency has enabled me to be comfortable sharing my thoughts, which I usually tend to keep in. Maybe it’s too early to tell, but I hope to carry this optimism with me moving forward. Anyway, peak season is approaching us. If I disappear from LinkedIn, you know where to find me. Proud Mommy Moment! This team-building season has been so packed that even I had to "turun padang" to lend a hand. But the best part? Both my sons joined in, too, suiting up and diving into the action as part of the team, facilitating the team-building. It was like “bring-your-kid-to-work day” because one dashed with the client for lunch at another venue, while the other set up the hotel for the next activity. Seeing them hustle alongside me was a real proud mommy moment but make it a team-building edition 👏 But we were still getting a complaint from a participant! On the last day, a participant came up to me and said, “Sherin, this is all Compass Mind Asia’s fault!” My heart stopped for a second, but then she added, “You all did such a brilliant job! Now we’re exhausted, stuffed from all the amazing food, and just want to sleep… but we have work tomorrow." 😂 Terkejut saya, but hey, when the "complaints" are this good, I’ll take it! My heart is so full, thankful for the Compass Mind Asia team (+ my sons as a part of the team), making this a success from every angle.
