Our Whole Ethos is Simplicity
Jenna started her cosmetics brand REFY in 2020 with Jess Hunt, a former model with 2 million followers on Instagram. The company is best known for its eyebrow gels and lip-liners.
Their first product, an eyebrow sculpt gel, was launched in November 2020. Jenna and Danielle spent months perfecting it, and all their hard work paid off. It sold 6 months of stock in just 6 weeks.
Since then, REFY has gone from strength to strength and now has a range of 20 products, with Jenna keeping the range streamlined and easy to use.

Jenna is mindful of the need to walk away from new sales opportunities, and has decided not to accept multi-million-pound contracts in both the Middle East and Europe as they didn’t fit in with the REFY’s focus and goals.
Focus – on the US and the UK

Best Business Tip
Hire people who are better than you, but remember that, ultimately, no one is going to have your vision. Never doubt your gut instinct and stay true to what you think – and don’t be scared to say no to opportunities that don’t fit.
My Best Decision
Focusing on hiring great people and building a brilliant culture, because that frees you up to do the big-vision stuff. People say it’s lonely at the top, but I genuinely don’t feel like that because I have the most passionate people around me who have my back.

My mum and dad – who, from such a young age, made me believe that I could do anything.

Jenna – would REFY be the success it is today without Jenna’s vision and drive?
Jess – would REFY have achieved the success it has without the connection to Jess’s 2 million followers?
Danielle – would that first eyebrow sculpt gel have been the success it was without Danielle’s skills perfecting it?
Mum and dad – the impact of positive role models from an early age cannot be underestimated. Janette and Shaun’s influence instilling a ‘can do anything’ attitude was laying the foundations for success long before the idea of REFY was even conceived.
The team – would REFY continue to be the success it is today without a team of great people?

💎 launched Shrine, supplying face jewels to the likes of Paris Hilton and taking it to sales of £3.5m and a profit of £1m
👁️🗨️ set up REFY with Jess Hunt in 2020, initially selling an eyebrow sculpt gel. In the year to August 31, 2023, the Manchester-based company had sales of £24.8m, with a pre-tax profit of £8.9m.
“We’re probably going to land on £45 million this year, which is crazy, with a 37 per cent profit margin," she tells Hannah Prevett in this week's How I Made It interview.
