We’re honoured to receive the Achievement Award in the Singapore Health Awards, organised by the Health Promotion Board. This award celebrates companies that excel in bringing health and well-being programmes to workplaces, making healthy living more accessible to employees. Singtel has been recognised for our all-rounded health initiatives, including chronic disease management programmes that have made a tangible difference in our employees’ lives. One inspiring example is Wee Liang Koh, a project manager, who has seen remarkable improvements in his health. Over the past four years, our programme supported him in managing high blood pressure and reversing pre-diabetes. Wee Liang is now in the best shape of his life, regularly participating (and winning) weightlifting competitions and fitness races. At Singtel, we believe that a healthy workforce is a happy and productive workforce. Guided by our Belonging-Impact-Growth (BIG) culture—where everyone feels a sense of Belonging, makes an Impact, and has opportunities to Grow—we’re committed to enabling our people to lead healthy and fulfilling lives! #health #wellbeing #employeeexperience #culture #empowereverygeneration

Back in Singapore this morning and beyond excited to dive into Q4, with 4 major initiatives: 1. Building a coaching team: For the first time, we're expanding to support more clients, especially those with medical conditions that make health goals challenging. Over the past year, I've developed medical science-based protocols for diabetes reversal, GLP-1 assisted weight management, cholesterol reduction, and more. We're actively seeking qualified dietitians, personal trainers, physiotherapists, and counsellors to join us in delivering these impactful programmes! 2. In-person events focused on women's health: We’re setting up multiple events here in Singapore, dedicated to women's health. I'm deeply passionate about creating open spaces for women to overcome their challenges, and for men to learn how to support the women in their lives. If you’re interested in partnering with us, please reach out! 3. Supporting high-performance founders: We're launching Longevity Club to help Singapore-based founders perform at their best until exit. I know firsthand how tough it is to prioritise health when everything else feels like it’s always on. This club aims to make it easier. If you’re interested, join our waitlist for more information: https://lnkd.in/g_3YP_hG 4. Promoting wellness-driven leadership: We’ll be working with progressive leaders across Singapore, Malaysia, India, and the United Arab Emirates who want to integrate wellness-driven leadership to actively support employee health and performance. There are many ways to approach this, but it starts with an open mindset and a commitment to fostering a wellness culture from the top. If this resonates with you, let’s discuss how we can bring it to your organisation. There will be ups and downs with all of these and I'll share my lessons along the way! 💪🏾

Last week Thursday, I gave a talk to Emirates IT Digital Platforms Services department as part of our initiative to raise awareness about men’s health—a topic that’s really important and, honestly, doesn’t get nearly enough attention. This isn’t just about physical check-ups—it’s about addressing the culture of silence, breaking the stigma, and recognising the need to prioritise health matters. This topic is personal to me. I lost a close family friend to cancer. His loss was a painful reminder of why these conversations matter and why taking action is critical. As someone whose day-to-day consists of coaching individuals and teams, I believe conversations like this are just as vital as professional development. Because if we’re not prioritising our health—physical and mental—how can we show up as our best selves for our work, our families, or our teams? During my talk, I shared some eye-opening stats and challenged everyone in the room to normalise health conversations. Whether it’s encouraging that overdue doctor’s visit, supporting a friend’s mental health, or creating safe spaces to talk about these issues, small steps really can impact lives. I’m proud to be part of an organisation that prioritises the wellness of its people and creates opportunities to address topics like these. As leaders, we have the power to impact our environment and create workplaces where well-being is prioritised. A healthy team is a strong team, and it starts with us. A big thank you to Shahid Nasir & Asma Albanna for organising this initiative and to my fellow speakers Iwona Zielińska, Shilpa Akula, PMP, etc for contributing to such an important conversation. #MensHealth #Leadership #MentalHealth #WellBeing #Mentorship #CareerGrowth

"The motivation to grow our wealth to prepare for the future is deeply engrained in many Singaporeans, yet does this same tenacity extend to preserving our health for our golden years? Afterall, what is wealth without good health? This question was explored in a recent May 2024 poll1 commissioned by Prudential Singapore. One thousand Singapore residents, aged 20 to 65, were surveyed about how much they value financial success versus staying healthy. Surprisingly, when asked to choose between the two, less than one in five Singaporeans said they prioritise wealth over good health. Among those who do, 64 per cent believe that money solves most problems, including health issues, and 58 per cent say it provides financial security for them and their loved ones." 🌟 A heartfelt congratulations to the winners of the 2024 Best Workplaces in Biopharma & Healthcare List in Singapore! 🎉 List rankings are based on employees’ feedback on the Great Place To Work Survey where employees share feedback on their organization’s culture. Our proprietary Trust Index™ survey, measures the core of what creates great workplaces — key behaviors that drive trust in management, connection with colleagues, and loyalty to the company. The data shows that this year’s cohort of Best Workplaces has a strong commitment to DEIB practices. They have provided safe and welcoming work environments, and provided platforms for the business and employees to give back to the community. Employees not only take pride in where they work but also cherish the flexibility their companies offer. Two specific data points in particular stood out for me. From the 2024 cohort of Best Workplaces for Healthcare & Biopharma: 🌱 More employees say that they feel they receive a fair share of profits. The benchmark score has increased by 5% to 75% positive ratings. 🌱 More employees have access to training & development opportunities. The benchmark score has increased by 3% to 83% positive ratings. The increase in employees feeling they receive a fair share of profits, reflects the growing emphasis on equitable compensation practices and a deeper understanding of the importance of recognizing and rewarding employees' contributions, particularly in high-growth industries like biopharma. It is also heartening to note the 3% increase in positive ratings on the access to training and development opportunities. The data represents these Best Workplaces commitment to employee growth and also align with Singapore’s strategic focus on upskilling its workforce. You can find out which companies make this year’s cohort of Best Workplaces in the Healthcare & Biopharma List here https://lnkd.in/gitpsetC #gptw4all #SGBestWorkplaces #BiopharmaInnovation #DEIB 🚀

Happy 59th Birthday, Singapore!! 🇸🇬🎂 Blue Water Shipping (BWS) Singapore celebrated National Day last Thursday on the 8th of August with a birthday celebration for our home, Singapore! This year it's about embracing the spirit of being "Together, As One United People" which also resonates deeply with how BWS operates One thing that stood out in this year's NDP 2024 was the emphasis on mental wellness and social support. It served as a powerful reminder that these principles are vital in our day to day lives. Just like the NDP theme song suggests, we are "Not Alone." In the workplace, fostering a culture of open communication, empathy, and understanding can help break down stigmas surrounding mental health, enabling individuals to seek help without fear of judgment. Promoting togetherness and teamwork, can create a supportive environment where colleagues can lean on each other during challenging times in their personal and professional lives. By prioritizing mental well-being and social support, companies can cultivate a healthier, more productive, and ultimately a more successful workforce. "If we just look to each other... ...then this house will feel like home." Here's to many more years of great teamwork, walking alongside our incredible customers, creating solutions together, overcoming challenges, and building a brighter future. 🤝✨ #NDP2024 #TogetherAsOneUnitedPeople #NotAlone #BWS #BlueWaterShippingSingapore #TogetherWeCreateSolutions
