Next month I will celebrate my 9 years in recruitment and 7 years of that has been spent matching the best Anaplan talent; 300+ Candidates with over 150+ Customers & Partners. 😎 This year has certainly been different in the Anaplan market. I thought I would share my observations; -There are more candidates on the market -However, the search for the top 10% of the market remains as fierce as ever. This portion remains more passive/not actively applying for positions. A specialist recruiter is needed to tap into this % of the market 👨💼 👩💼 -A clear move back to hybrid/in-office working with remote jobs at 20% vs last year 🖥 -Companies are being more mindful on salaries after the boom of 2021 and 2022 (helped by point number one) 💵 -Looking for candidate career longevity should be number one priority for companies. The cost of replacing can be high - again focussing on top 10% is the key 🔑 -The hiring landscape and parameters continue to be a maze for companies venturing into it for the first time. Normal Finance BAU hiring strategies still do not cut it in the Anaplan space 🗺 -Longer sales cycles & rapidly changing pipelines are leaving partners having to plan their own headcount on a monthly rather than yearly basis 😕 -The above is leading to an increased demand for top quality EPM Sales people as all the partners fight for their market share of projects Anaplan hiring, on the face of it, may appear easier this year with supply & demand getting closer to levelling out and more candidates fluid in the market. However, expectations and standards of hiring teams still need to be sky high to assure the best Anaplan implementation/successful journey with the tool. Plus, companies are big on this whole “real-time insight” thing right now, and Anaplan delivers exactly that. Bonus points if you like automating boring manual tasks because, let’s be honest, who doesn’t? In short, Anaplan is that tool that makes everyone’s life easier, and if you learn it, you’ll probably end up being everyone’s favorite person at work.
