Almost 10 years ago, I got my first job at Wipro. Even today, I get goosebumps thinking about that moment—the mix of stress and happiness. I still remember wondering, “What if I don’t get this job?” And then, when I got it, seeing the joy on my parents’ faces was everything. Since then, I’ve worked hard, switched multiple companies, and today, I’m running my own company. But sometimes I ask myself, “Why am I doing all this? Hi Tech Mahindra team, I am reaching out to provide an update regarding my recent experience with the full and final settlement process after leaving the company. I left the company on March 21st, 2024. According to the HR team and settlement team, the full and final settlement was supposed to be completed within 30-45 days after my LWD. Despite multiple follow-ups and inquiries, I have been informed that the settlement is now expected to be processed by mid-May, which will exceed 50 days from my departure date. I can say that the settlement process is now getting delayed beyond the stipulated timeframe. I understand that every organization have their own policies but beyond 45 days is something to worry about. This clearly shows how employees are valued, respected, and supported, not just during their time with the company, but throughout their entire journey. Timely settlements are not just a matter of convenience, they are often critical for individuals transitioning between jobs to meet financial obligations and plan for their futures. By sharing this experience, I hope to draw attention to the importance of upholding commitments to employees, not only ethically but also as a matter of organizational integrity.
