Shorr Packaging Corp.’s Post

Join Meredith Moore, Shorr's Sustainability Program Manager, in the video below for tips to make your holiday more sustainable. Try incorporating a few sustainable actions to reduce waste and your own environmental footprint during a time of year when waste typically increases by more than 25% each week! Here are a few ideas:   Gifts with Purpose: Consider the gifts you are purchasing and be intentional; would the recipient like something handmade or homemade, or an experience, instead of a gift that they may return or toss?   Decorate Mindfully: Use reusable, recyclable, or compostable decorations, and get creative with wrapping! Choose kraft paper and, of course, don’t forget to recycle it afterward. Instead of disposable ribbon, top off gifts with pines, garland, dried flowers, or pinecones   Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: You can also reuse gift bags instead of purchasing new. I also like to wrap gifts in towels or dishcloths, which the recipient can use afterward.   Why not plan on a sustainable New Year's Resolution this year? Remember: little changes add up to make a big difference. You have the power to inspire others to have a positive impact.   #shorrsustainability #shorrpackaging #shorr #sustainability
