Our Policy Director Martin Reid MBA FCILT was on BBC Radio Wales this morning to discuss the impact of the #Holyhead port closure on the entire freight and logistics sector. 👇 "This is the busiest time of year and the journey across the Irish Sea is a key freight route. The impact of this is being felt across the wider industry. Various vehicles that should be back at depots have been displaced across the UK. This has changed plans for many businesses moving 'just in time' goods over the weekend. "Because of the extra time journeys are taking, we've spoken with DfT over the weekend to secure a relaxation for certain parts of drivers hours which should hopefully help this situation." We'll have further information as the situation develops.
