The power of connection✨ One of the most unexpected yet deeply rewarding perks of hosting Shelf Talks is the incredible energy I get from connecting with the phenomenal female founders I interview. These women are not just building brands — they are building legacies. Every conversation leaves me feeling recharged, inspired, and even more committed to my own growth and development. There’s something uniquely powerful about being in a space where women champion one another, share hard-earned wisdom, and celebrate each other's wins. It’s a reminder that we don’t have to walk this journey alone. The support, vulnerability, and insight these founders bring to each episode aren’t just for the listeners but for me too, their energy is amazingly contagious. If you’ve ever had the chance to be in a room (or on a call🎧) with women who genuinely want to see each other win, you know exactly what I mean. Women supporting women isn’t just a nice concept — it’s a movement, and I’m so grateful to be part of it. Share with your friends! When was the last time someone told you that you should "smile more?" For me, it was just a few weeks ago, by a strange person who passed me on the street. If you're a woman, this probably doesn't surprise you at all. But here's something that might: over half (55%) of men have 𝗡𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 been told they should smile more. 🤯 This gap in the expectation to be agreeable is just one of many things we unpacked in Kickstand's recent research partnership with Wednesday Women. A few weeks ago, I was thrilled to sit down with Jane Serra, host of Women in B2B Marketing, and Melissa Moody 🍵, Matcha.so 🍵 CEO and co-founder of Wednesday Women, to talk about this report and our own personal experiences related to the stats. I hope you have as much fun listening as I had talking to these two incredible women and hearing their stories. 🤩 You can catch the full episode right here: https://bit.ly/3Vd8E0Y If you're not already following Women in B2B Marketing, it is one of my VERY favorite podcasts out there and full of great insights for all, so please make sure you go over and click the bell so you don't miss anything. 🛎 And if you haven't seen the ungated research report yet, it's right here for ya: https://bit.ly/4b73lFj #Research #WomenInB2BMarketing #Podcast #GenderEquity #Leadership

Think D&I is just a checkbox?... Think again! Meet Sisieta Owen on our latest "Women Who Make it Happen" episode. With an impressive career at big and small firms, she's seen the waves of change first-hand. Why does this matter, you ask? Increased female representation is climbing, and that's great, but there's more to the story. D&I is now a regular item on the board agenda, backed by real budgets. But here's the kicker – it's not enough to just "have" D&I initiatives. It's about the follow-through. 🎯 So…What's next? Sisieta puts it plainly, "We need to ensure D&I isn't just performative. It should be consistent, heartfelt, and woven into our organisational DNA." This isn't about ticking boxes; it's about making genuine, measurable change. 🎧 Tune in as Sisieta shares how to move beyond mandates and make D&I truly impactful. Youtube: https://lnkd.in/eGm7sxvj Apple Podcast: https://lnkd.in/e8DHxZeK Spotify: https://lnkd.in/eaUYU9Qs What's your take on making D&I heartfelt in your workplace? Reflections on an exciting Q1 from my 'smile file' (shout out Emma Ewing): 😀 After many conversations through the THINK EQUAL podcast and beyond, I launched a new masterclass aimed at growing, nurturing and protecting your confidence. 😀 The Foy&Co newsletter moved from 'concept' to 'reality' - finally! 😀 I was named a 'Wonder Women of MENA' (Thank you Hamza Sarawy and The Brandberries, I still can't quite believe it) I'm really proud to be able to share these highlights. Of course, it's not always easy and it's never plain sailing. I encourage you to take time this week to dig into your smile file, you'll realise just how far you've come this quarter and I guarantee it'll give you a boost going into the next few months. #Growth #PersonalDevelopment

A podcast host recently shared with me that when she opened applications for guests, she received 60 in the first few days. 2 of those were women. While listenership of podcasts is fairly even at 53% men, 46% women, 1% non-binary (Source:Edison Research, Infinite Dial 2023), only ⅓ of the chart topping podcasts are hosted by women. We are passionate about helping women share their thought leadership, messages and stories as podcast guests (now, more than ever!) Over the last 4 years, we’ve been fortunate to represent smart, successful, mission-driven women. As a result, they’ve: ✨ Marketed their product and service businesses in a sustainable way that allows them to connect with new and future customers by sharing their mission ✅ Grown their professional network of referral partners 📈 Increased listeners of their podcast 💰 Generated tens of thousands of dollars of revenue 🎤 Get invited to speak at events and conferences 😍 Made new friends 👉 Improve their messaging 💻 Created content for their blog and social media If you (or another woman you know) has a great mission behind her business, thought leadership to share or a book to market, I’d love to chat to see if we can help. PS - we just had a minor website redesign, would love any feedback you have to share https://lnkd.in/gUMqRpkT #yourexpertguest #womenbusinessowners #marketingstrategy

💥 Women Who Make It Happen Series 💥 The Power of Diversity... In a world where diversity is often viewed as a quota to meet, how do we shift our perspective to see it as a catalyst for innovation and market expansion? 🎙️ On the latest episode of "Women Who Make it Happen: Journeys to Success," Claire Pratt, Head of Financial Crime Risk/MLRO at Gen H and I, delve into the transformative power of diversity in business. ARE YOU TIRED OF BEING OVERLOOKED? Many women in business have told me that they are. They're sick of not being taken seriously, of feeling that they'll be judged when they speak and dreading the next meeting. So I've designed a programme, Be Truly Heard, to help. I have a linked podcast of the same name. When people ask how Be Truly Heard works, I explain it's built on three interconnected pillars: 🦋 1.Body and Voice: We lay the foundation for understanding, controlling, and skilfully using your physical voice. Without this, you're relying on luck. 🦋 2.Self and Voice: You'll discover how your voice reflects who you are; your values, beliefs and emotions. Without this insight, it's hard to overcome what holds you back. 🦋 3. Putting It Together: We apply what you've learned to real speaking situations. Without practice, you can't use these skills effectively or make a confident impact with your voice. 💫 I'm looking for 3 special women who want to transform their confidence and communication, starting this month. DM or book a call 👇 if that's you. #vocalintuition #betrulyheard #womeninbusiness
