**Excited to share my journey as a I transition from academia to UX Research, where I get to empower businesses through human-centered design, usability testing, and actionable insights!** 🙌 Recently, I've had the privilege of working with brands like Fit2Flaunt and subscribeboybox, leading in-depth research projects that directly impacted product development and user satisfaction. Hypotheses are helpful for framing research questions. They're also biased by nature. So how do they fit into UX research? Matt Schraan, VP of product management for custom mobile app developer Livefront, explores this topic in the latest Livefront Talks episode. He digs into whether you need a hypothesis for a UX research study, and examines this question against generative and evaluative research approaches. "If you wait until you get features to work on from a product manager, you're not going to be able to do a good job."
A $936 million user research project... That's what Sonos accidentally conducted this year when they released their new app without understanding their users and what they wanted. In this episode of Pulse by Intuji, I sit down with Jared Spool - a pioneer in UX with over 44 years of experience. We unpacked: ↳ Why strategic UX beats tactical UX ↳ How poor UX cost Sonos nearly $1B in market cap ↳ Why one company spends $60M/year on a "human UI layer" ↳ The real cost of not investing in user experience early Plus a story about a washing machine that perfectly illustrates why UX matters more than ever 😂 Key takeaway - "If you wait until you get features to work on from a product manager, you're not going to be able to do a good job." 🚀 Why Huddle's founders all attend #UX review sessions? After launching Huddle to the app store(🎉🎉), our team had a UX review session with a talented designer Alan H. This saved us so much time for future product discussion! Here are some insights. 1. It saves time to get to the conclusion ⏳ When a user is lost in the app, that's the clear problem. This saves time when discussing whether or not a problem needs to be tested. 2. Staying up-to-date with product status 🗞️ It's not easy for every team member to stay up-to-date with all the product features. This is an excellent chance for the team to be on the same page about the product in one session. 3. Motivation 🤩 When founders observe how users are using the product, they realize the impact they are making. Seeing the impact is very inspiring, and it naturally aligns the team with the mission. Feel free to try and share your experience with me! I'm curious to hear how it goes for you!
