Gives us the power to live an overcoming life: Fasting strengthens our spiritual muscles, empowering us to overcome challenges and temptations. 5. Helps us to receive deliverance from problems: As we fast and pray, chains are broken, and deliverance from various struggles becomes possible. 6. Guidance to certain decisions: Fasting clears the noise of the world, allowing us to hear God's voice more clearly and receive guidance for important decisions. 7. Brings the Glory of God into our lives: Ultimately, fasting and prayer invite the presence and glory of God to dwell richly within us, transforming our lives from the inside out. Life can often feel overwhelming, but this season, I’m choosing to take one day at a time, knowing that He has everything in His hands. It’s so easy to get caught up in comparison, but I’m learning to be content and celebrate the beautiful journey God has me on. I’m not here to be perfect, but to be faithful—to love, to give, to do my best, and to rest in His grace. Reflecting on Easter: Past and Present As a child, Easter was synonymous with chocolate eggs, the Easter bunny, treasure hunts, and long vacations. It was a time packed with family activities and overseas trips. The holiday was a period of joy, excitement, and indulgence. Fast forward to the present, and my perception of Easter has evolved. Yes, the chocolate, bunnies, and holidays still hold a place in the celebration. However, the essence of Easter for me now lies in its true religious significance – the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I understood the profound meaning of this holiday when I was 15. This understanding has added an extra layer of significance to the festivities. Over the years, my perspective has shifted from the commercial aspects of the holiday to its spiritual essence. The depth and weight of the sacrifice, redemption, and resurrection have taken precedence over other elements. But, let's not forget the practical side. Easter also means a shorter work week, an aspect many of us look forward to. 😉 The break provides a welcome respite from the daily grind, allows us to engage with our spiritual selves, and spend quality time with family. 👪 Easter, for me, is a confluence of the past and the present, the spiritual and the practical, the solemn and the celebratory. It's a time to reflect, rejoice, and recommit to the teachings of Christ.
