Accounting is traditionally known as one of those sit at my desk mundane, repetitive industry and I knew that accounting could be exciting. As you see, I have big personality can tell from the sparkles of my glasses. So it was very important that I could show up as I truly am, try my best to show up for others and not feel like they're accountant is unrelatable. Untouchable or can't speak the same language that they do. I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD and I accidentally fell into accounting. I was introduced to it in high school when I had my first summer job and discovered I could get my tax money back. And so I charged all my friends that I knew with jobs $25 in order to do their taxes so that they could get their money back too. So our motto is making accounting a little less taxing for small business owners all across the US. And we really lean into that because accounting uses a bunch of technical jargon. So how can I? Explain that to you in a manner that makes it a little more engaging, makes it a little less threatening. And So what we do is we try to listen to our clients to hear what's important to them. And then I can break it down for you because now I'm speaking the language that you want to hear. So when I started in accounting, I learned on the 6th column Ledger paper and you had to write in pencil because if you made a mistake, you didn't want it to be in pain because then you had to start all over. And so I've watched the industry go from that paper process to a now more technological 1. So when we're looking at tools to get that ROI and to ensure that our client data is secure, we have to think about how is this tool going to save my business money in the long run. So it really allowed me to expand how we serve our clients, so my clients can trust that we're receiving the documents and we're protecting their. That is one of the reasons why we've stuck with Sharefile all these years, because the platform just keeps getting better and better. So it's really exciting and it just feels like I'm growing with it.
