Kelly and Carlton highlighted the ongoing challenges and the proactive steps they are taking to address them. Two attendees, Jason Adams and Russ Witzel, shared their key takeaways: 🔑 Jason Adams emphasized the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the National Association of Realtors (NAR) settlement and the pressure on local Boards from the DOJ. He sees collaboration as essential for developing universal standards that will restore certainty for all stakeholders and allow the real estate market to thrive. 🔑 Russ Witzel pointed out the need for better communication between agents and appraisers. He noted: - A lack of understanding by agents and leadership about appraiser needs. - Agents can, and should, communicate with appraisers. - Appraisers often hesitate to ask for additional payment for work beyond standard appraisals. Market positioning doesn’t get better than 1st!! 🥳🥂🍾 I keep getting asked what do we do differently, and my answer was, I don’t know 🤷🏻♂️ Because I can’t imagine estate agency done any other way. However, after then hearing about peoples experiences with other agents, it seems to be that we do everything differently! 😄 🫱🏻🫲🏽 But the key thing is remembering that it’s a relationship of immense trust that needs nurturing, and remembering to not overlook how immense the trust is that vendors and buyers are putting into you as an #estateagent. 🏡 We’re talking about a vendor and buyers most important financial asset, one of the biggest financial transactions they can make in a lifetime. 🤷🏻♂️ I get anxious sometimes just buying from a local farm shop rather than a supermarket, spending £15 instead of £10 😄 (even though the quality is miles apart) 💰 Financial transactions bring up all kinds of deep emotional responses, and I believe that, sadly, being aware this is a clients most significant financial transaction is often overlooked or forgotten in estate agency, yet crucial for estate agents to understand and empathise with throughout the home selling and home buying journey. 📚 Perhaps now studying Level 5 Integrative Person Centred and Psychodynamic Therapy, I am a little more sensitive towards the psychological aspects than others, but this is one area that I feel Robinson David is completely different to others, which then goes on to tailoring our service to meet different vendors person circumstance. __________ #gloucester #cheltenham #stroud #gloucestershire #estateagents #estateagency #propertymarket #realestate #realestateagent
