Very happy with the recognition from AsianInvestor for our #Justtransition engagement work. The #transition towards a sustainable economy should be #fair and #inclusive; especially in emerging markets. A company's failure to implement Just Transition measures may result in e.g. workers strikes and community backlash that disrupts business operations. Transition in emerging markets are a complex process that involves overcoming numerous challenges. A Just Transition therefor needs a tailor-made approach and there is no 'one size fits all'. This is one of the reasons why #engagement and #collaboration is key. #sustainableinvestments #sustainablefinance #humanrights #socialaward Thu Ha Chow Cristina Cedillo - van den Berg Robeco

Absolutely thrilled to be named one of the top 10 women in sustainability in APAC by Sustainability Magazine! This award isn’t just for me—it’s a shout-out to the amazing teams at CIMB who have put in all the hard work, as well as the inspiring leaders who’ve stood by us on this journey. Every day, it hits home that we’re seriously running out of time to hit our climate and nature goals. There’s so much to do and the clock is ticking loudly. This recognition is a massive motivator to keep pushing the boundaries, finding new ways to do better, and making real changes in banking and beyond. I’m constantly inspired by the sheer grit and perseverance of folks in our sustainability community, especially those who started doing this before sustainability was in the mainstream awareness. To all who’ve been knocked down but keep getting back up—your resilience is legendary. You are the unsung heroes who keep me on my feet, knowing that each small step is part of a much bigger part of the systemic changes that will move us towards our collective goals. Let’s keep the momentum going! The road ahead is tough, but with our joint efforts and relentless spirit, I believe we can make a huge difference. Huge thanks again to my team, my mentors, and everyone out there fighting the good fight. It's your steadfast commitment that truly keeps our collective mission alive and urgent. #Sustainability #Leadership #ClimateAction #CIMBforTomorrow https://ow.ly/v6ku50RmZfZ

Impact investing is no longer just a buzzword—it’s a movement shaping the future of finance and sustainability. Companies are leading the way, proving that profitability and purpose can coexist. By aligning capital markets with sustainable development goals, they are creating real, measurable change in underserved communities while addressing critical global challenges like gender inequality and climate change. For organizations in the impact investing space to stay ahead, it’s crucial to build a unique value proposition. This involves: 1. Introducing Innovative Financial Products: Solutions like the Women’s Livelihood Bond from Impact Investment Exchange (IIX) exemplify how targeted financial tools can drive measurable social and environmental impact. 2. Data-Driven Insights: Leveraging advanced analytics to showcase transparency and ROI for investors while tracking real-world impact. 3. Collaborative Platforms: Initiatives like the Orange Forum can foster cross-sector partnerships, knowledge-sharing, and co-creation, strengthening the global impact ecosystem. As impact investing continues to gain momentum, I believe that there are 3 key geographies ripe for expansion: 1. South Asia & Southeast Asia: Regions with untapped potential where investments can drive scalable gender equality and climate resilience initiatives. 2. Sub-Saharan Africa: Growing entrepreneurial ecosystems paired with significant development needs make it a priority area for impact-driven investments. 3. Emerging Markets in Latin America: Opportunities to fund sustainable agriculture and renewable energy projects can create far-reaching benefits. The Orange Forum 2024 at Singapore serves as a transformative platform for global collaboration, connecting stakeholders across finance, business, and development. It empowers diverse voices, fosters innovation, and catalyzes solutions that transcend borders. By participating in such initiatives, organizations can build stronger networks, enhance thought leadership, and amplify their impact. As someone deeply committed to sustainability and the transformative potential of impact investing, I am inspired by the work of organizations like Impact Investment Exchange (IIX) Their vision aligns with my passion for driving purpose-driven growth and creating marketing strategies that elevate brands making a difference.
