CUI of Plant and Pipework Corrosion Under Insulation of process plant and pipework is largely connected to steel components. ❌ Failures have happened with containment lost as a result of localised corrosion that was developing under insulation undetected. When steel comes into touch with water and has access to oxygen, it corrodes.
