Chase Joy! 🌟 Welcome to Week #248 of The Friday Feature! When I wish someone a happy birthday or anniversary, I often add these words: "Chase Joy!" It’s a simple phrase, but one that’s carried me through both the highs and lows of life. Let’s face it: chasing joy every single day isn’t always easy. Life is filled with challenges, uncertainties, and moments where grace feels far away. But for me, "Chase Joy" is more than just a phrase—it’s a reminder of God’s unwavering grace, present in every moment, regardless of what we’re going through. About 18 months ago, during a tough period of back pain and eventual surgery, Mary Bryant Hodge gifted me a mug with those very words: "Chase Joy. Be You.” That small act of kindness was perfectly timed—it gave me a much-needed boost and reminded me to reflect on what truly matters. As Elder Deborah shared in church this Sunday, "Joy is God's undeserved gift." How powerful is that? Joy isn’t something we earn or achieve; it’s a divine blessing, freely given. It’s no coincidence that the word "Joy" appears over 400 times in the Bible—it’s a cornerstone of faith and a reminder that even in our hardest seasons, we can find something to hold onto. As we approach Christmas, let us remember the true reason behind it all. It’s my hope and prayer that each of you experiences a renewed sense of Joy in the coming days. We’re all healing from something, and it’s through grace, gratitude, and connection that we can move forward. Take a moment today to reflect on what brings you joy. Is it a kind word from a friend? A moment of stillness in the morning? A reminder of God’s love? Whatever it is, hold onto it tightly. Let’s make the choice to Chase Joy—not just today, but every day. 💛 #ChaseJoy #Faith #Grace #Healing #TheFridayFeature #Gratitude #Christmas
