Huge thanks to the team at Harper Adams University for hosting such an insightful event! 2️⃣ COMIT2drones (C2D) Event at PwC HQ An amazing turnout at PwC HQ in London, exploring the future of drones with a fantastic community of innovators. 3️⃣ SAUDI DRONE EXHIBITION (SAADEF) Drone and AI Expo in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Sponsored by the وزارة البيئة والمياه والزراعة (Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture) this event was a hub for exciting conversations with the National Center for Vegetation Cover (المركز الوطني لتنمية الغطاء النباتي ومكافحة التصحر NCVC) about rural drone applications. 4️⃣ Featured in "Drones in Action report V1" by ARPAS-UK A big shoutout to the team at ARPAS-UK for including us in this brilliant report showcasing innovative drone use cases. 5️⃣ iAero Yeovil Drone Conference (Leonardo) A wonderful event organized by Somerset Council, where we engaged with Leonardo Helicopters and EIBC Pvt Ltd Consulting, discovering new opportunities in the UK’s second-largest aerospace hub. Our monthly snapshot features projects that regional NRM organisations are delivering across Australia. This month we explore how drones are being used to calculate total grazing pressure in the southern rangelands of Western Australia with Rangelands NRM, the use of eDNA in tracking platypus populations in Melbourne's creeks and rivers with Melbourne Water, and Boigu Island's Bio-cultural Landscapes Profiles project undertaken by the Torres Strait Regional Authority, that has captured traditional language and ecological knowledge for future generations. Dataset from Koli National Park is available for download We have released a dataset from the Koli National Park area in collaboration with airship company Kelluu and the University of Eastern Finland. The dataset was collected during 2022 and 2023 over an area of 1.3 km². Originally, the data was gathered to study forest damage and the impacts of bark beetles using airships for the first time. Such data has not been published on this scale before, and we hope that it will benefit research as well as a wide range of organizations across all sectors. The data has been published in Fairdata Etsin service, and you can find more detailed info about the data from the link below. We'd like to thank Kelluu and University of Eastern Finland for their cooperation!
