Reflecting on my journey in marketing promotion, I'd like to share insights from the past year's endeavors with the marketing and promotion team. A key aspect of successful promotions is the ability to effectively reach potential customers to drive sales. Looking back at our successful "End of Year People's Party" event in 2023, organized in collaboration with Cardinal Brand Official "Cardinal Fest 2023 x Ramayana" roadshows at various Ramayana malls in several cities in Indonesia. We were able to attract young customers and engaged loyal customer. The event not only met sales targets but also offered a platform for the community to enjoy free entertainment and stimulate economic activity. The event's success can be attributed to a comprehensive promotional approach, combining offline and online advertising, social media content, branding by Micro KOLs, and enticing discounts of up to 75%. It emphasized the importance of generating customer traffic and driving direct sales through a mix of strategies. In conclusion, the key takeaways from this experience are patience in the process, strategic planning before execution, and embracing creativity to make promotions engaging and effective. From TV Producer to Marketing Manager, Storytelling Across Industries One month into my new role as Marketing Manager at a halal premium dim sum start-up, this is how I transitioned from producing documentary films for Malaysia’s leading TV station to shaping the future of a manufacturing company. Despite it being a different industry, the core of my work remains — telling a story that resonates. This time, it’s about more than just a narrative on screen; it’s about crafting a brand that stands out in a competitive market. The company has aced production process — passing all health and safety checks and delivering thousands of delicious dishes daily to popular restaurants, hotels, and businesses across the Klang Valley. Yet, one crucial element is missing: the brand’s identity. No corporate profile, no digital presence, and yes, not even a LinkedIn page… yet. That's where I come in. In the past month, I’ve worked closely with the founder and top management, delving into the company’s existing assets and identifying the gaps that need immediate attention. My eight years of experience in creating impactful marketing campaigns, from airlines to the hardworking street food vendors, coming up with solutions did not take long. I just need to build an entire brand from the ground up. Meetings fill my calendar, reconnecting with past colleagues and leveraging my network to lay the foundation for a solid brand. The scope is enormous—taking on high-impact projects for a rapidly growing, multi-million-ringgit company is a significant leap. While overseeing the bigger picture is thrilling, I’m still very hands-on, whether it’s developing the brand’s story or diving back into occasional video production. Long way to go. Patience is key.
