Thanks Kylah Morrison MEM GAICD and QuantumTX for inviting me to join the panel at the #QuantumTX 2024 Showcase last week. As program alumni ourselves, it was a pleasure to share some of our own learnings with the 2024 cohort and to talk about the thriving #METS community that exists within Queensland. A key takeaway from the panel and a good reminder for scaling businesses, is the importance of finding a problem that customers actually want you to solve. It's easy to get stuck in your own bubble building a product or solution you really care about, but your customers will only pay for something that solves their problem or helps them reach their dreams/KPIs. They care about themselves, and rightly so! A couple of years ago I was introduced to the Jobs to Be Done framework and it changed the way I thought about building products that customers want to buy.
