Corporate Social Responsibility at SAP

Last week, I was honored to join the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) Roundtable hosted by the World Economic Forum. This meeting was an important reflection of our potential to reshape economies by placing people, the planet, and an impact-first mindset at the heart of progress. The SSE is not a new concept but a powerful initiative gaining momentum as it continues to address and overcome some of the most pressing challenges in South Africa and across the continent. It’s about cooperatives, social enterprises, and community-driven initiatives working tirelessly to create opportunities out of challenges and bring inclusive growth to those who need it the most: youth and marginalized communities.   What struck me most during the roundtable was the collective energy and unwavering commitment to scale these efforts. We explored pathways to: ▪️ Strengthen partnerships between the public and private sectors, civil society academia, and other ecosystem enablers. ▪️ Amplify and grow local solutions that are already making a difference. ▪️ Leverage South Africa’s upcoming G20 Presidency to spotlight the role of the SSE in fostering solidarity, equality, and sustainable development. These discussions left me both humbled and energized. They reinforced what I’ve always known and believed: the greatest impact happens when we radically collaborate and keep human interest at the core of our efforts.   At SAP, we are proud to partner with impact entrepreneurs across the continent as well as Catalyst 2030’s Africa Forward to empower communities and create income opportunities, especially for young people through innovation and partnership. I look forward to continuing this journey with the incredible ecosystem of changemakers driving the SSE forward.   #SocialSolidarity #InclusiveGrowth #Collaboration #Leadership #SAPAfrica   Tracey Gilmore, Patrick Schofield, Luvuyo Rani, Ernest Darkoh-Ampem, Rene Parker, Shona McDonald, Dr. François Bonnici, Danson Gichini, Veerle Klijn.
