When we support local businesses 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 it makes a difference. These businesses work hard to make a profit, and as customers, we feel valued when we can negotiate and ensure our money is well-spent, unlike ordering online. But with online platforms taking over, we’re losing that sense of connection, bargaining and value. This isn’t about the wealthy; it’s about the middle class. In cities, countless local grocery, clothing and many other stores are struggling as it's becoming a habit: "𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲". The paradox of choice. Is it leading to the demise of online retail? Probably not totally, but retailers and even B2B commerce players will need to think smarter about the Customer Experience. I’m working with a client now to test a curated buying module to help their B2B customers with choice. They are already seeing an increase in margin and revenue in the test. While it was once mass choice that drove customers online, if businesses want to continue to see growth in these channels, they will have to do more to help customers with choice. #cx #commerce #retail
