SBA Communications’ Post

Teams across our organization finished October strong with an additional seven volunteer events through our SBA Cares philanthropic program, for a total of 11 events this month. In New Jersey, a cross-functional team volunteered with Special Strides to remove tripping hazards from wooded trails for equine-assisted services and paint the indoor riding arena. Responding to hurricane relief efforts, our Risk Management team volunteered with the Northeast Tennessee Disaster Relief Center at the Bristol Motor Speedway to organize donations, pack boxes, and load trucks with critical supplies. At the Nashville Rescue Mission, which helps people experiencing hunger and homelessness, our Site Development Services team served food to those participating in the daily meal program. In Sunrise, Florida, our Shared Services team supported the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk by assisting at various booths at the event. At the Champions for Children Golf Charity Cup in Jupiter, Florida, which directly supports the Children’s Healing Institute, our Financial Accounting team helped check in attendees, served food, and assisted with the silent auction. Team members from Financial Accounting also volunteered with The Lord’s Place in West Palm Beach, where they prepared and served lunch to those in need and helped with clean-up efforts. Our Site Development Services team dedicated their time at the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama to sorting donations and packing boxes for distribution to local food pantries. Big thanks to all our volunteers for their efforts to #ChangeLives.

Wow…what an incredible team, doing incredible things in the community! #SBACares
