Kerry Mok, President and CEO of SATS Ltd., and Ms. Denise Phua, President of Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) / Pathlight School or ARC(S), parent charity of Pathlight School, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance vocational training for individuals on the autism spectrum and foster a more inclusive society in Singapore. As part of the collaboration, SATS will "provide industry guidance for setting up an Asian-Western Training Culinary Studio at the soon-to-be-opened Pathlight School in Tampines,” said Kerry. SATS has donated a total of S$200,000 to cover the expenses associated with the construction and installation of the training facility at Pathlight School (Tampines). “At SATS, we are committed to creating a workplace that values respect, inclusiveness, and diversity, and we look forward to the beneficial influence this partnership will have on the Singapore community as well,” he added. “Our partnership with SATS is a powerful testament to the impact of private sector support in empowering our students to maximise their potential. We are very grateful to SATS’ for tapping on their expertise to impart real life vocational and work skills in the education of our students,” said Ms Denise Phua, President of Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) and Supervisor of Pathlight School. “We are deeply appreciative of SATS’ generous donation and sharing of expertise. We are excited about the opportunities that this partnership will open up for our students to develop essential culinary skills that are useful for both their personal and future vocational pursuits," said Mr. Wilfred Tay, Principal, Pathlight School (Tampines).  Together, SATS and Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) / Pathlight School will co-develop and implement continuing education and training courses in culinary skills for the students, thereby enabling them to become active members of society. ARC(S) is committed to training 150 learners annually, providing them with valuable work exposure programmes. This MOU is intended to improve the quality of teaching and learning, thereby benefitting the entire community. 🌍 #CommunityImpact #SATS #AutismResourceCentreSingapore #PathlightSchool #Inclusion #Education #Training
