With one week left in Q2, soon attention will turn to 2025 estimates. For our largest holding, Carvana, this is particularly interesting. Today consensus estimates call for 2025 adjusted EBITDA of $1.1 billion. For reference, Carvana's Q1 2024 annualized adjusted EBITDA was ~$1B. So consensus implies they will grow adjusted EBITDA 10% in the next year. We don't think this make much sense given the business is currently accelerating. According to alternative data providers Carvana QTD unit growth has accelerated to over 33% up from ~16% in Q1. We estimate 2025 adjusted EBITDA will be closer to $2 billion. Carvana is the largest investment at Optimist.
