Spotify Clips Video Feature Still Has Some Issues to Fix Episode 607: Spotify Clips is a new video feature that Spotify is rolling out. Not all artists been given access yet, but Michael has a couple clients with access so he started testing it out. Spotify Clips is a new 30 second vertical video feature that will remind everyone very much of TikTok, Reels or Shorts. The problem is Clips is not quite ready and we discuss some of the issues that need to addressed… the Spotify FAQ telling you to build videos at the wrong size. Different size videos being displayed depending on if you are on a smartphone or a tablet. Singer-songwriter Sheldon Allman had 74k monthly Spotify listeners before his track, Crawl Out Through the Fallout, appeared in the Fallout TV series. Now he has 353k monthly listeners - a 550% increase. What makes this even more impressive is that those 74k monthly listeners have been fairly consistent since 2019. AKA - he wasn't experiencing any sort of growth in listening figures UNTIL the Fallout TV sync. It's also worth noting the same track appears in the Fallout 4 soundtrack - which millions of people have started playing again following the TV show's success and the recent next-gen update for the Xbox and PlayStation versions. This shows the incredible impact the right sync placement can make on legacy artists. I recently covered the impact on listener growth for artists featured in the Fallout TV series in the latest issue of my music and gaming newsletter, but I'll be doing an update next week as I'm curious how the recent influx of Fallout 4 players will contribute to further growth. Hope sync geeks find this as interesting as I do! What are your favourite tracks from the TV series and video games?

Say hello to my little friend! I picked up this dedicated headphone amp/DAC (Chord Mojo 2) on discount last week, and I’m blown away. Despite some initial doubts, it delivers incredible depth, detail, and clarity, far beyond anything I’ve heard before. It’s so pleasant to listen to, but also revealing when poor mixes are played through it. Perfect for on-the-go mixing and edits, it’s compact yet powerful enough to drive my headphones with no hiss or unwanted distortion. It requires no software or drivers, and while the controls are unique, the sound quality and build are outstanding. Switching between my mixes, reference tracks, and Spotify made the difference clear. It’s perfect for finishing tracks without needing the studio or lugging around my Apollo Twin. It even makes my current headphones sound better, though I’ve got new ones on the way to pair with it. Bonus: it’s engineered and built in the UK—proof that top-notch products can still be made here, all be it at a premium price. Not a sponsored post, just a big shout-out to Chord Electronics—you’ve nailed it with this one!

The Coldplay Concert Craze: Let's Take a Step Back Have you noticed how everyone's buzzing about the Coldplay concert and the revenue generated? I'm wondering, why are we so invested in calculating their earnings? It's their business, after all! They're investing crores to make a profit. Let's focus on analyzing companies to invest in instead. 👉The Reseller Conundrum We're quick to blame resellers for high prices, but let's take responsibility for our actions. We're the ones buying concert tickets in black. If we stop demanding high-priced tickets, resellers will have no market. It's simple economics! 👉The Paradox of Choice We seek the cheapest options, asking friends abroad to get us iPhones and complaining about resellers. But why do we pay extra for concert tickets and shoes? Let's be consistent in our choices. 👉Awareness Time Let's stop perpetuating the cycle of high-demand, high-price reselling. Let's make informed choices and support fair pricing. Share this post if you agree! Let's spread awareness and create a change. #ColdplayConcert #ResellerAwareness #InformedChoices #FairPricing

Tired of bad sound from your TV? 📺 🐰 Wireless technology has come a long way over the last few years and sound bars have been a big part of that. Sound bars improve your TV’s audio without the need for a full home theatre system. The advantage to wireless systems is that you can connect many services such as Spotify and Tune In Radio via the app services. What system do you currently use?
