Independence Outpatient Treatment Program recently held a Toy Drive at The Richard Pruss Wellness Center in the Bronx. Staff members were thrilled to have 150 unwrapped toys for parents to select from. But we are still short of our goal of collecting 2,000 toys for 2,000 children. Just one gift can make a difference in a child's life: 🎁Purchase a toy from our Amazon Wish List: https://lnkd.in/dz8nFVEq 🎁Drop off unwrapped gifts at one of our locations: 📍138-02 Queens Blvd, Briarwood, NY 11435 📍79-00 Queens Blvd, Elmhurst, NY 11373 🎁Make a donation to help buy gift cards: https://lnkd.in/dGES88Ew Give to our #2024ToyDrive and #SpreadTheWord!

Real leaders don’t need to be the hero. However, you can demonstrate your culture of care when you donate to Red Express to ensure every child has a gift to open on Christmas morning. This clip from my Curious Leader keynote reminds me that leaders who need to be the hero could benefit from stepping into someone else's shoes. Like a child without a toy on Christmas morning. Or a parent wondering whether to pay the bills or buy groceries. In conversations with CUPS' incoming Executive Director, Elaine Wilson, we were reminded how vital these donations are—not just for holiday cheer but for ongoing programs that support children and families year-round. Every donation, big or small, fuels this mission. Imagine the joy your $50 gift could bring to a child waking up to a present they never thought possible or the relief a gift card brings to a family managing through tough times. Plus, this year we're introducing Tiers of Giving to give you something tangible to say thanks. For donations starting at $3,500 you'll get The Curious Leader delivered by me to your team any time in 2025 so you can learn how to foster a more innovative culture. Not in this year's budget? Don't worry! All donations of all sizes are welcomed. Learn more or donate now 👉🏻 redexpress.ca

We are beyond thrilled to announce that a generous donor has committed to matching Giving Tuesday donations up to $60,000, totaling $120,000 towards our mission! That means that for $6,000 a child, your donation has TWICE the impact, benefiting TWENTY children of single parents in need with the gift of orthodontic braces. Consider the difference that you would be making: * 78% of children reported significantly less bullying when their orthodontic treatment was complete * Those with straight teeth are 38% more likely to be perceived as smart * Those with straight teeth are perceived to be 45% more likely to get a job Changing someone’s smile is not simply cosmetic; it’s life-altering. Consider multiplying your year-end, tax deductible giving! https://buff.ly/3ZLlTsd

The Clermont County Children’s Services Community Toy Chest supports the most in-need and at-risk youth in our community, ensuring that every child in their care receives something special this holiday season, regardless of their current living situation. Last year, thanks to generous sponsors, approximately 300 children received gifts on Christmas Day. As the holidays approach, please consider sponsoring one or more children—or even an entire family. Sponsorships are open to individuals, companies, groups, and organizations, with no set limits on the number or cost of gifts. The Community Toy Chest will also feature an Amazon list where community members can purchase and donate items. Below is a link to view the items needed or wished for. These items are for children ages 0-21 in the care of Children’s Services. Purchased items will be shipped directly to Clermont County Children’s Services and distributed for the holiday season. Amazon link: https://lnkd.in/gcicTA22 How to Sponsor a Child or Family: If you are interested in directly sponsoring a child or family, please email Sanna Gast at sanna.gast@jfs.ohio.gov Each child will be assigned a number (with only first names provided for confidentiality), along with their age, sizes, and wish list. ⭐️ For some children, Christmas isn’t a time to look forward to. There might not be a Christmas tree, the house will be cold, there won’t be a traditional Christmas dinner; and will Santa visit? In the last few days we’ve had 175 children referred to our Gifts4Kids campaign. 175 children who are likely to go without a gift this Christmas if we can’t help. Incredibly, last year we were able to provide more than 2000 gifts to all 705 children referred to us for Christmas 2023. This campaign relies heavily on the support of our community, and so we’re asking you to make some magic this Christmas, and support a local child in need. Here’s what you can do: 🎅 Option 1: Buy a gift from our amazon wishlist - these have been selected specifically to meet the interests of children referred to us. The gifts can be delivered directly to one of our volunteers if you select the ‘gift registry’ option at checkout. 🎅 Option 2: Make a financial donation - this is a massive help as it means we can use our charitable status to access heavily discounted items, meaning your funds go further. This can be done through our Local Giving page. 🎅 Option 3: Buy a gift from your retailer of choice and drop it to us, or a Gifts4Kids drop off point (details coming soon) All Gifts4Kids details and links to the Amazon wishlist and Local Giving account can be accessed here: 👇👇 https://lnkd.in/esYCwaV3 Thank you 🌟 #babybank #babybanksussex #supportingchildren #supportingfamilies #sussex #kent #community #childrenscharity #christmas #Christmas #camp #christmascampaign

Did you know that in just one hour, you could save up to three lives? That’s not just a statistic—it’s three people who get to spend more time with their families, celebrate more milestones, and enjoy more moments they almost didn’t have. I’ve always tried to donate blood once a year (admittedly, it’s sometimes harder to convince the nurses that my nasally voice isn’t a cold, but just my vocal quirk!). But the small effort is always worth it. You walk out knowing you’ve made a real difference—and usually with a biscuit or two as a reward. For most of us, giving blood is as simple as gifting one of your lunch hours if you’re based near a donation centre. But employers can play a part too! Businesses can support this lifesaving initiative by offering staff paid time off to donate—learn more about how to get involved here: https://lnkd.in/ga3qQjjQ Find your nearest donation centre and book your appointment here: www.blood.co.uk . #BloodDonation #GiveBlood #SaveLives #WinterHeroes

One thing we know for sure: Moms know what we need best. Today, on Giving Tuesday, you have the power to help kickstart the Moms Know Best campaign and help us reach more moms in all 50 states. When more fed up and fired up moms are activated—that means: ✅ More pressure can be put on Congress and policy makers to pass critical bills like the Momnibus. ✅ More personal stories that represent YOU can be brought to Washington DC to change legislation. ✅ More moms get a say in the policies that shape our day-to-day lives. Today, thanks to our generous partner Willow Innovations, Inc., 100% of all donations will be matched up to $5,000. This means you have the power help Chamber of Mothers expand into all 50 states this #GivingTuesday. This year we GREW to 31 chapters in 22 states and we want to KEEP GOING! 🎉🎉🎉 The more fed up and fired up moms we have—the more maternal rights there will be for ALL. 🩷 Will you join us this Giving Tuesday? "You don’t ever fib with another human being. It’s lying." — Naomi Feil Naomi taught us that honesty builds trust, even with older adults experiencing cognitive decline. Validation principles encourage caregivers to follow the reality of the person they’re caring for rather than redirecting or misleading. This approach fosters deeper relationships and greater understanding. Your donation ensures that caregivers everywhere learn this vital principle. Donate today to help us spread trust and connection. https://lnkd.in/ePTQZNtp

This Diaper Need Awareness Week (September 23-29), we are asking our community to help us “Wipe Out Diaper Need” in WNC with a donation of baby wipes. This is a simple ask- one pack of disposable baby wipes- but it will have a big impact. Wipes are consistently one of our biggest requests and we often do not have enough to fill orders. Wipes are essential for families to keep their children clean, dry and healthy. Giving a pack of wipes is a practical way to help a family in our community who are struggling to afford the basics for their children. We have collection sites all over Asheville (follow our social media for the current list @babiesneedbottoms) if you want to drop them off - or you can shop our Amazon Wish List or make a financial gift. A financial donation means we can buy even more wipes in bulk. Donate here: https://lnkd.in/ecVpSBPM Thanks for helping us Wipe Out Diaper Need this Diaper Need Awareness Week!
