Delicate density is AAAs preference as we move forward with infill focus - not only because this can integrate better within established neighbourhoods but the impact on traffic etc is reduced. Some thoughts on these luxury megaprojects... Should this be a net negative project? should it provide the excess energy produced for free? what would the upfront carbon cost be - and when would this start being in the negative area? Are the rich people going to have a first home (or only home) there? We have surpassed +1.5C and we are going towards +2C - last year CO2 increase was 5ppm - when the average till then was 2.4ppm. Should we be rethinking all these excessive projects in terms of necessity? or is it ''who cares about effect on climate, we have money we should be allowed to build...''. A 2bn project is bound to have a lot of carbon intensive materials there. marble brought in from who knows where, extracted who knows how... etc
