How do you feel about Mondays? Our cortisol levels (stress hormone) tend to be higher on Mondays and Tuesdays as we re-enter work from the weekend. For some, Sunday is reported as the unhappiest day of the week as we anticipate going back to work. If you struggle with the anticipation of the weekend ending, institute some routines throughout the seven days that provide you with a steady base of predictability. A great place to start is daily walks. Give your brain some of what it loves: predictability and routine. #careercoaching #personaldevelopment

Have you heard of "micro breaks"? While taking long breaks using vacation-time is always recommended, micro breaks can also significantly help in the fight against burnout. Micro breaks are only a few minutes long, but help to bring down the stress hormones in our bodies, reduce fatigue, and improve focus. Standing up from your desk for 2-3 minutes and walking around, stretching, jumping, meditating, or doing breathwork after every 30-60 minutes of focused work will help you avoid the dreaded burnout. This week I encourage you to try micro breaks and see if it improves your well-being and productivity. 🤍 #Altha #Burnout #MicroBreaks #EmployeeWellness
