At 14:47, I see Kirke's message pop up: "Where's this week’s blog?" I mutter a few bad words under my breath and quickly start brainstorming topics. This kind of mindset has followed us for the past few weeks, because there's a lot of work, school is demanding, and time ticks away mercilessly. But we keep pushing forward relentlessly. In this blog, I’ll share how I organize my time when work is overwhelming, and there’s always a rush. 𝐈𝐟 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬, 𝐝𝐨 𝐢𝐭 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 If someone asks for a survey link, has a question, or I have to send a quick email, I take care of these tasks immediately. Over the last two years, I've learned how to quickly maneuver between tasks and focus on multiple things simultaneously. Although this doesn’t always allow for deep concentration on one specific task, it ultimately benefits the project as a whole. 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭? When I do have time to focus on a particular task, questions like “Which fire is burning the brightest?” and “Which fire needs to be put out first?” run through my mind. The top priority, of course, goes to product development aspects that impact the customer. If a software issue hinders product use, it has to be fixed immediately. It can be stressful at times, but, as they say, diamonds are formed under pressure ;) 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭? When there’s some extra time, we can plan new initiatives. In product development, we consider which features would add the most value. In business, we think about which activities would bring in the most users. These are my actively used methods for fighting fire. But let’s be honest. Some of us woke up to a last-minute “brilliant idea” from the CEO. 𝗪𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮 “𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲” 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲. One they dreamed about over the weekend that absolutely must make it into this Sprint. Sound familiar? As Product Managers, we’ve all been there. The tension between long-term product vision and short-term urgency is part of the job. But here’s a gentle reminder for all my fellow PMs 𝙂𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝘽𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙡𝙤𝙜 It’s a sacred space for prioritized and validated work. 𝙋𝙪𝙨𝙝 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 Is this new feature solving a real user problem? Has it been vetted? 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙮 Set expectations with stakeholders while staying empathetic to their passion for the product. And if you do decide to include it, remember, 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘰𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳. To all the product managers and startup founders / CEO out there, I hope you found moment of gratitude during thanksgiving break. So, an awkward moment happened in tech where Brian Chesky, the CEO of Airbnb said they are removing product management from Airbnb. In an interview with Lenny Rachitsky Brian took the time to clear the air, the product management function is not going anywhere but he definitely changed the working structure. Brian is a great storyteller, I love his clarity and straightforwardness. He introduced the idea of a single roadmap, I think this could really allow teams to move at the same time and in the same direction. He seems like a very hands-on CEO because to him “leadership is in the details”. I am sure its both scary and exciting to intimately work alongside your CEO on a daily basis. We will wait for Airbnb employees to confirm this. He also touched on work-life balance and I totally agree that being happy is being healthy, while doing meaningful work and maintaining good relationships. I would add money to this list. He touched my heart when he talked about paving it forward. There are people that have been so generous toward me. They meet with me, offer me advice, send me slide decks, recommend courses, let me in on interesting meetings and I am always just moved by the kindness. I am hugely indebted to these people, they know themselves. The only way to say thank you is to pay it forward. Affirming that we are all going to WIN. His final thoughts were trully mic dropping, he said "I was and am an artist and thats what makes Airbnb different, there are not alot of artists running fortune 500 companies. I think that intuition, imagination and curiosity gives you a holistic approach to problem solving" Hands down my favorite episode!

#Day29: There was a time I worked with a small startup founder who was juggling multiple roles—product design, team management, and marketing. He was passionate about his product but struggled with getting people to actually use it. When we first spoke, I could tell he was overwhelmed. He wanted users but didn’t have the bandwidth to connect his idea with others. So, instead of focusing on traditional approaches, I suggested we focus on conversations, not pitches. I asked him to list three people he believed could benefit from his product. We set up casual calls where he simply shared why he created the product and asked questions about their struggles. Those conversations didn’t feel forced; they felt real. By the end, two of them agreed to try it out, and one became his first paying customer. This experience reminded me that connection beats complexity. Founders don’t need to master everything; they just need a simple, human approach to build rapport with their audience. It’s not about selling—it’s about inviting someone into your story.

I just joined Intro last week as an expert & already have had some amazing calls. Today, I helped a first-time founder who's trying to figure out how to package and price their PLG (Product-Led Growth) product for launch. Here are the 3 pieces of advice that I gave + mistakes to avoid from lessons learned the hard way (😅): 1) Value-Based Pricing: Align your pricing strategy with the value your customers perceive and receive. This can drive adoption and satisfaction. 2) Simplicity Sells: Keep your pricing structure simple and easy to understand to reduce friction in the buying process. Don’t clutter your offer with too many options which can paralyze decision-making. 3) Tiered Offerings: Introduce tiered pricing to cater to different segments of your market, allowing customers to grow into higher tiers as their needs evolve. I’m shocked by how much we can accomplish in 15 minutes. Beware of creating tiers without clear differentiators that cannibalize & confuse, rather than clarify value. One month into my move from a big consultancy to THE marketing growth accelerator 🚀 . To working with 30 colleagues instead of half a million. It's certainly different! 👉 Really-freaking-exciting companies I had to hold in a squeal listening to one companies proposition today. It’s so uplifting listening to talented & passionate people who are changing businesses and customers lives. What a thrill to have a front row seat 🍿💡 Also, legacy what?? ❌ 👉 Open Doors Corporate gatekeepers have dissolved, whilst startup leaders extend open invitations. Formal meetings morph into quick intros, demo’s and coaching calls. It is very, very welcoming🚪. Though I'll never enjoy unsolicited slack huddles😅. 👉 Decisions From committees and endless sign-off meetings to instinct. Taking decisions because we have faith in our ability to execute them. Refreshingly efficient.🧠⏱️ 👉 Problem-solving At aperture.co I truly feel that there is nothing we can’t solve together. We’re fairer on people, tougher on challenges. And everyone has a seat at the table in working through them🎯. To those contemplating a similar leap: step into the light(er) side. You might find the change is just what you need.

🌞 Friday is a good time to reflect on the weeks work. What has happened? What has been achieved? Learning outcomes? Future planning? But one thing that keeps popping up every week is the word '#TRACTION' Everyone wants to know your traction metrics, business partners, prospective clients, investors, etc... But traction itself to me as a founder is much more than just something that can be measured through numbers! This is how I perceive traction within my organization: 📆 Delivering on milestones ⚙ Team productivity 🤝 Team cohesiveness 🚀 Momentum It's tough building a startup from the ground up but what others don't see from the outside is metrics aren't solely measured by how many followers you have on social media or how many active participants you have in your ecosystem; it is in reality all the hard work that you've done and will continue to do that truly translates into those metrics that everyone knows and understands.
