According to CFO, over two-thirds of finance chiefs say the cost of health benefits is a significant concern, versus other operating expenses, and 72% of CFOs say healthcare costs are the most unpredictable expense. "I don't hire overweight people" What a sad recruitment "strategy". Here I am building recruitment software to eliminate biases from hiring, while some leaders still hold—and openly admit to—deep-rooted, conscious, and overt biases. Pretty sad that this happens in 2024. Imagine if all business leaders felt this way.... Candidates deserve to be evaluated based on demonstrable skills, not appearance or perceived health. This is why I’m such a big advocate for skills testing at the screening stage. Instead of relying on interviews to screen candidates, why not use multi-measure skills tests to rank candidates objectively on best fit? Great talent isn’t limited by body type, appearance, or background. 💡 So here’s a whacky idea I’ve been toying with: What if our ATS allowed recruiters to toggle candidate profiles on/off during the screening stage? That way, hiring decisions could be truly bias-free. Thoughts? Could this kind of feature actually make a difference in reducing bias in recruitment?
