Here are some key takeaways from today: Leveraging Top Talent: Companies can uplift their workforce by training models with data and decisions sourced from the top 20% of their staff. This approach has strong potential for onboarding and training new employees, with the interactive nature of Gen-AI making training more engaging and meaningful. Continuous AI Improvement: It’s crucial for companies to focus on monitoring and continuous improvement of their AI capabilities. Storing inputs (prompts and RAG data) and outputs ensures auditability and enhancement over time. Given the variability in Gen-AI responses, products can drift away from expected outputs, underscoring the need for reliable and consistent AI performance. Decision-Centric Focus: Shifting from data centricity to decision centricity allows AI to make some decisions automatically and enhance human decision-making. Understanding which tasks staff dislike, such as data entry, can help identify AI use cases where AI can prefill data, leaving humans to validate and submit. Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG): RAG opens up numerous use cases, sparking a new field focused on deciding what data to include in different scenarios. This approach is vital for ensuring AI solutions are both reliable and consistent. AI in Private Enterprise: There is a significant movement towards capturing the private enterprise market for AI. Startups are competing with large cloud vendors like Microsoft and AWS by offering cost-effective, specialized solutions.
