The team continues to grow, and today we are thrilled to introduce Shriram Shrungarkar, our new working student! He brings a fresh perspective and a strong eagerness to learn, which will undoubtedly contribute to our ongoing projects and innovation. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐑𝐂? I have recently joined #ERC as a Working Student within the Aircraft Conceptual Design team, working closely with my supervisor, Artur Usbek. My primary responsibilities include developing supporting software tools for the aircraft design optimization loop. In addition, I am implementing handbook methods to complement some of the existing complex models required to size the aircraft. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 / 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐫𝐞/ 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦)? Entering the #aerospace industry for the first time during my studies has been an exciting experience. The challenge lies in getting accustomed to company practices while delivering with precision in a fast-paced start-up. Moreover, conceptual design is the starting point of any new aircraft project, requiring a solid understanding and feel for the aircraft as a whole. To tackle these challenges, it is crucial to seek support and positively embrace all feedback and new insights from my experienced colleagues. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐑𝐂? Currently, I’m pursuing a bachelor’s degree in aerospace at the Technical University of Munich. At university, I have been actively involved in #eVTOL student clubs, taking advanced courses, and participating in hackathons. My passion for #aviation extends beyond university studies, and I take every opportunity—from internships to hobbies—to constantly expand my horizons in the aerospace domain. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮? Simply stated, I get to learn continuously and have the opportunity to witness the vision of sustainable air mobility being crafted into reality. As a student, being part of this #eVTOL project is undoubtedly thrilling, rewarding, and full of exciting engineering challenges. I cannot wait to see more innovations yet to come in the field of #eAviation! We look forward to the great work we will accomplish together!🚀

🚀 **Unlocking Career Success: Lessons from the Ingress Lane** 🌟 Few days back as I was driving through Singapore, a powerful analogy struck me: the expressway's ingress lane mirrors our journey in education and career growth. 🚗 Have you noticed how some drivers rush to merge into the expressway right at the beginning of the ingress lane, while others patiently move forward, utilizing the entirety of the lane before seamlessly filtering in? 🎓 Similarly, in our professional lives, education and training serve as our pathway to career success. By investing in continuous learning and upskilling, we position ourselves further along the career expressway, ahead of those who hesitate or delay their educational pursuits. 💼 While a few may find success despite joining the expressway early, they are the exception rather than the rule. The majority benefit from a strategic approach, leveraging education and training to propel their careers forward. 🔑 Let's prioritize personal development and education, recognizing them as essential tools for navigating the fast-paced lanes of the modern workforce. Together, let's accelerate our journey towards success! Yes, I am in my 50s, and I am discovering how Meta AI can help me generate the image used in this post. #CareerGrowth #EducationMatters #UpskillToThrive

"From growing up in a village with just 250 people to diving into the world of AI and working with teammates from across the globe.“ 🌍 A chat with an old friend last week made me realize the huge leap I‘ve made: from a farm in a small village to talking about using AI in my work and personal life and closely collaborating with colleagues in India. 🌱 Reflecting on my path, I see how my early days, especially my hotel apprenticeship in Hamburg (at the Radisson Blu shown in the picture below) laid the groundwork for connecting with people worldwide. 🏨 Along this adventure, I’ve picked up some invaluable lessons: Grit: Facing challenges taught me to keep pushing, no matter what, always with a solution-focused approach. 💪 Resilience: Life’s ups and downs showed me how to stand up stronger each time. 🚀 Adaptability: Moving from a small village to the city, and then onto the global stage, I learned to thrive amidst change. 🔄 Above all, empathy has been my guiding light. Truly understanding others, a skill enhanced through every interaction, from village life to international collaboration. 🤝 From the simplicity of a farm to the complexity of global teamwork, it’s been an enriching ride. Looking forward to what’s next with excitement. Glad to have met these wonderful people during my apprenticeship: Johanna Kent Katharina Mikalauski Henriette Brueser Anne Birke Elisa Armah #Grit #Resilience #Adaptability #Empathy

My conversations with Aditya always ends up with fascinating anecdotes as happened last night. So we asked Aditya how he celebrated adding the 100th aircraft to the Indigo fleet? In 2016, Aditya Ghosh of Indigo Airlines, reached a significant milestone—Indigo's 100th aircraft. But instead of the typical lavish celebrations that often mark such moments, he chose a radically different path. No extravagant parties, no expensive gifts; instead, he asked his team to do something far more impactful—run a nationwide Mensa IQ test for underprivileged children and sponsor the education of 100 of the brightest among them. These kids, now known as the 6E Scholars, were given the chance to rise above their circumstances through the power of education, a gift that would change their lives forever. Fast forward to today, and one of these 6E Scholars, Anjali, has recently graduated as an engineer. Her story exemplifies the ripple effect of that decision in 2016. Anjali, starting her internship with a monthly salary of ₹90,000, stands as a testament to the transformative power of opportunity. Her salary is set to double post-internship, an outcome that speaks volumes about the heights she is destined to reach. This story is more than a heartwarming tale; it is a lesson for today’s startups. In an age where celebrations often involve indulgence, his approach stands in stark contrast. It reminds us that true impact lies not in fleeting moments of grandeur but in long-term commitments that change lives. His decision to invest in the futures of 100 children resonates far beyond the world of aviation and serves as an enduring blueprint for responsible leadership. As new-age startups navigate the thrill of milestones and success, this anecdote should serve as pragmatic guidance. Celebrations don’t need to be ostentatious to be meaningful. In fact, the most impactful celebrations often don’t involve parties or lavish gestures—they involve thoughtful actions that create real change. And for these startups, the greatest investment they can make is not in material rewards, or lavish squandaring of investors money but in shaping a future where every individual has the opportunity to rise. The 6E Scholars project reminds us that the truest success is measured not by what we receive, but by what we give. As more startups emerge and achieve success, may we follow a legacy of meaningful impact—one that will be felt for generations to come. #responsibleleadership #impactleadership #payitforward #6Escholars #startups
