Congratulations to Clint on his much-deserved retirement. Today has made me reflect: I’ve known Clint since I was a young boy. He reminds me of when I used to get sent out with the crews for acting up in school to show me what real hard work looked like. For those of us in the skilled labor business, his departure represents a loss of invaluable knowledge and dedication that cannot be replaced. A few key points to take from days like today: 1. Learn from Senior Personnel: Engage with those who have experience and soak up as much knowledge as you can. Don’t let your ego get in the way. 2. It's More Than Just a Job: Treat people with humanity, and you’ll be able to support your team beyond the office. Sometime each other is all you have. 3. Invest in Training: emphasis younger personnel through skilled mentors. There is no better way to learn. 4. Provide opportunities for Young People: High school graduates should be eager to embrace skilled trades. They can secure good livelihoods with benefits for their families. While tools may evolve, foundational skills remain essential and the rate for skilled labor is better than what many realize. 5. Support the Industry: Encourage newcomers, even if they join your competitors. Elevating the quality and importance of our skills benefits everyone. And the most important: 6. Promote safety and healthy habits. It’s crucial to foster a healthy lifestyle and prioritize safety to ensure employees enjoy life after retirement. Clint’s legacy will guide us as we carry these lessons forward. #Retirement #SkilledLabor #Mentorship #Legacy #Training #SafetyFirst #SupportTheIndustry #ConstructionLife
After 29 years of dedicated service, we would like to congratulate Clint Clements on his well-deserved retirement! Clint began his journey at Line Creek Trucking and later transitioned to Seal-O-Matic Paving Company. In his final years, he took the helm as a paver operator, expertly directing trucks from up on his seat. Clint plans to enjoy his retirement relaxing at the Lake of the Ozarks. I count March 30th, 1982, as one of the most important dates in my professional life. That is when my Stewart journey started in Houston, Texas. In addition to great professional development opportunities, Stewart is a place where lifelong friendships are made. Friendships that transcend professional collaboration. I can count tons of friends across all states and the globe. That includes India, Pakistan, Greece, Mexico, UK, Canada, South Africa, The Philippines, Korea, Costa Rica, West Indies. Just to name a few. On a personal level, I would like to recognize Mr. Stewart Morris, Jr., ex-Senior Chair Stewart Title Guaranty for his support and guidance. He has been much more than a boss. He has been a mentor and a friend. An extremely well-respected business leader not only in Texas but across the US. A family man. The Morris’s do so much for so many educational institutions and charitable causes across Texas and the US. The other person is late Miss Peggy Hedge from Caruthersville, Missouri. She was Controller - Stewart Title Houston. She is the single most important person to teach me the ins and outs of a real estate title closing. Especially escrow accounting. Her oft repeated sentence was “Amin, you know I am from the Show Me state”. That alone would keep us on our toes making sure software releases are as perfect as possible. Whatever success I had at Stewart belongs to the team who made it happen. I just happened to be part of the team. And of course, my better half. I will be remiss if I don’t talk about a bit about Stewart – the institution. You don’t make a 131-years old globally successful institution without great leadership and many challenges along the way. Eight years before Stewart was founded in Galveston, Texas in 1893 a devastating fire raged through the city. Galveston had to be re-built block by block. Then 7 years after its founding a hurricane literally flattened the city. It is simply called “1900 Hurricane”. Along the way there has been The Great Depression, World War, oil, and real estate booms and busts, mortgage crisis. All these has tested Stewart. Through all these Stewart has come out stronger. Executing strategy, successfully meeting challenges and moving ahead is in Stewart’s DNA. I can say with full confidence. A brighter future lies ahead. Stewart is on its way to being a “Premier Title Services Company”. My very best wishes to all. Go Stewart!
Celebrating 42 Remarkable Years of Amin Ansari 🎉 After an incredible 42 years of dedication and excellence at Stewart, we honor Amin Ansari for his outstanding contributions and unwavering commitment. Your legacy and impact will continue to inspire us all. Thank you for being a cornerstone of Stewart’s success. Wishing you a fulfilling and joyful retirement ahead. #RetirementCelebration #42YearsOfExcellence #ThankYou #Stewart

Earlier today I posted the link to a retirement article/checklist written by two of my colleagues. And then Tara and Glen, two friends, sent me a New York Times article titled "What Does Retirement Really Mean?" It contains multiple stories and examples of retirement that are really quite good. Obviously, retirement is one of the many things we help our clients prepare for so if you read this and have questions, please contact us. And if you would like to include your own retirement story, please send it to me or respond with your comment to this post. Tara and Glen, Thank you for sharing this article! https://lnkd.in/eNfNXuqB

Continuing-Care Retirement Communities can be a fantastic option for retirees. They have #independentliving #assistedliving and #skillednursing facilities all within the same campus, plus the assurance to provide #longtermcare services as long as the person is alive- even if they run out of money. While this seems like an ideal solution for both couples and singles- there can be a significant risk if the community runs into fiscal problems. This is a fantastic article from Joanne Cleaver for the The Wall Street Journal talking about risks as well as detailed #duediligence families can do prior to entering into an agreement. #financialplanning #aging #retirement
