Last week, I bumped into the delightful Emma Payne over at the Birmingham Scrapstore, nestled snugly within the historic walls of The Hollymoor Centre up in Northfield. Now, let me tell you, this place isn't your run-of-the-mill craft store. Oh no, it's a treasure trove for all you creative souls out there. Emma and her team are on a mission not just to supply artists and crafters with top-notch materials, but also to champion the noble cause of reusing and recycling. Picture this: materials from all walks of life, sourced from various industries, find their way to the Scrapstore. What happens to them, you ask? Well, they either get sold to the public at a steal or find themselves in the loving arms of children's groups all across Birmingham, sparking joy and igniting imaginations through creative play. Shameful. Montreal’s Canada Day parade is cancelled. Turns out there is an upper limit to anyone’s patience for Bull s**t. A wise business person will quickly associate this parade’s failure to launch to the nightmarish permitting system that most builders need to jump through to launch a construction project in Montreal. IT’S ALL THE SAME make-work-Bull-s**t. There is too much guess work with this municipal administration and it is a burden no business person LET ALONE A VOLUNTEER should need to take on. There is no guidance for motivated people. In fact the faceless bureaucrats in charge themselves have no guidance and leadership to lean on. Hence they turn in circles frightened to make a mistake, they build decision committees to dilute individual responsibility. Stretching timelines, blaming other government departments and adding needless complex layers to already challenging projects. Good government needs good leadership. When you have a confident mayor with a concise vision then people can execute the plan effectively and efficiently… when there is no leadership or plan… you get the results we're seeing now. Sound familiar? Kind of like the 58cm Ferreira F1 fiasco… ? The organizer of a parade that attracts 120,000 people has had enough. Another big let down for citizens. You can only swim upstream against your very own municipal government for so long. This is (WAS) a family friendly NOT FOR PROFIT EVENT where Montrealers gather together to celebrate our country and our heritage. New York came into existence after #American_Revolution took place around 1700's to protest against the high taxes imposed by the #Britishers then. Earlier, it was just #colonies which went onto to house one of the #tallest as well as #thinnest #skyscrappers. Although Billionaires row give a sense of #identity, the idea of #digital_twin_building or #digital_twin_city is gaining more #prominence these days because of it's immense #potential to reach & #connect not just local but #global_network or audience. As most of the #CEO's or #BOD's also have an #office inside their homes & most of them prefer #5_bedroom_apartments or #penthouses which is a rarity in many buildings, providing separate space for each of the activities in the same building more like co-working space is also getting d#one. Part of the CEO's job is to participate in marketing_campaign process & these #digital_billboards or #led_screens or digital twin of buildings are allowing them to get better control over their apartments as well as growth. If we see how the mere existence of Bollywood in #Mumbai has risen the price of lands to ten times that of any other prime place in other cities & if we see the case of Hollywood then it has almost shifted from #Los_Angeles to #New_York. Slowly & steadily the idea is shifting towards more localized marketing campaigns for brand to the audience via these buildings so it is quite natural, everyone will be willing to get the apartment on rent even at higher prices which will increase the value of the building much like how the valuation of the businesses increase.
