We all want to know we aren’t invisible and our lives are meaningful. That our hard work, our faith, our personalities will produce something of value in our lifetime. Yet we have come to admire (too much I think) those who handle their own problems, seemingly rely on no one, or take the one thing that works and run with it…turning it into gold. So many places we go and are a part of these days, don’t hold us accountable and we don’t truly know our neighbors. There’s this ideal of fierce independence promoted everywhere. What happened to building teams in and out of work? Relying on others to hold us accountable? People to rally us and talk us out of compromise? What about building community…not giving up on people because they’re “busy” or have a different opinion? What about letting someone who is unconventional in their approach and attire and looks guide us? (Did that one sting?) Why not? Are you trying to do this career and health thing on your own? How’s that been working? Probably got you in survival mode. Time to get out, and stop being invisible, but only if you’re ready to do some work…and different work than what others do. But you’ll get different (and better!) results! Two things you’ll need to do though… 1️⃣ Download my “Get out of Survival Mode” guide: https://lnkd.in/gd8Ukk9P 2️⃣ Advance your career by doing things differently than others and book a no-pressure call: https://lnkd.in/gHP53_gJ Let’s showcase ourselves how we were meant to - WITH each other and FOR each other. You were meant to produce things of value.

Strengthening Connections for Reentry Success As someone deeply committed to reentry work, I’m continuously reminded of the power of networking and how vital it is to support the individuals we serve. Building strong connections doesn’t just open doors—it creates a support network that can be life-changing for people reentering society. Networking is a skill I’m actively working to improve. I’m challenging myself to step out of my comfort zone, engage with new professionals, and learn from others in our field. Each new conversation not only enriches my perspective but also strengthens the community of resources available to those on the journey to rebuild their lives. If you're in reentry work or community outreach, let's connect! Together, we can share insights, resources, and encouragement. By growing our networks, we create a stronger foundation for reentry success. #SouthernMissouriReentry #Reentry #Networking #CommunitySupport #SecondChances #ProfessionalGrowth

I chose a career in recruitment because I have a genuine passion for helping others. Similarly, my involvement in rescue work stems from my desire to make a positive impact. Working as a recruiter at STG has been incredibly fulfilling because I have the opportunity to transform people's lives for the better. Likewise, being involved in rescue work allows me to play a part in changing the lives of every dog we save. But what exactly does it mean to help? Helping is the act of providing assistance and support to others, with the intention of making tasks or situations easier for them. It encompasses offering guidance, providing necessary resources, and offering emotional support, all of which are essential for fostering collaboration, personal growth, and community well-being. At Software Technology Group, we prioritize the well-being of our employees. We invest in their careers and are dedicated to helping them achieve their professional goals. Through continuous education and training opportunities, we empower our employees to reach new heights in their careers. Now, I'd like to turn the question to you. What is it that you need help with? Are you someone who enjoys helping others? And if so, what kind of assistance have you provided to your community?

In a society where things are mostly unfair, what really matters isn't just about money or moving up in your career. It's more about your personal creative endeavors or the things you do for the greater good of everyone. So, focusing on your creative pursuits or contributing to the community can be seen as real achievements in such a setting. It's about finding fulfillment and making a positive impact beyond just financial success or climbing the career ladder.

Simple but insightful
How do you find fulfillment in your career? For me, it's these five things: ✅ Challenges: Tasks that push me out of my comfort zone, gradually increasing in difficulty and fueling my appetite. ✅ Progress: Maintaining a constant sense of forward motion. Working towards those 1% wins, humans need a sense of direction. ✅ Subjectively Meaningful Goals: There's no right or wrong answer here; it doesn't matter what your objective is, as long as you have one. ✅ Autonomy: Cultivating a sense of control over your work is integral to your performance. ✅ A Supportive Community: Thriving in an environment surrounded by like-minded individuals. This is the most important one. You can have the other four, but without this principle, they're all redundant. What else would you add? Comment below - I'm super interested to hear your thoughts!
