Delving into the intricacies of our current project Lakeside11, we want to explain why it stands out among the rest. At the core of our vision is a commitment to the comfort of our future residents, leading us to make a conscious decision not to allocate all spaces within our complex for conventional parking lots. Instead, we've taken stylobates as the basis for our project, seamlessly connecting the residential blocks. And placed parking spaces underneath them. By adopting this approach, we ensure that our residents can step out of their entrances directly onto the stylobate, where a host of amenities awaits them – from inviting recreation areas and entertainment spots to vibrant children's playgrounds. This thoughtfully designed space not only adds greenery to our complex but also creates a safe environment for families to stroll with their children. The result is a complex with a light and airy aesthetic, achieved through the use of this design. We're curious to know your thoughts on this technical solution – do you find it as compelling as we do? #RRG #RRGRealEstateGroup #RealEstateDevelopment #Bucharest #BucharestRealEstate #Innovation #DesignExcellence #Technicalsolutions

Streetscape impact on Real Estate Developments?!!! Successful streetscape development is essential for enhancing the appeal and functionality of real estate projects. Here are some key considerations: 1. Safety and Accessibility Pedestrian-Friendly Design: Wide, continuous sidewalks, safe crosswalks, and pedestrian signals. Universal Accessibility: Ensuring all areas are accessible to people with disabilities, including ramps and tactile paving. 2. Aesthetic Appeal Greenery and Landscaping: Incorporating trees, shrubs, and green spaces to enhance visual appeal and provide shade. Street Furniture: Benches, bike racks, and trash bins that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Public Art: Murals, sculptures, and other art installations to create a unique identity and cultural appeal. 3. Functionality and Comfort Lighting: Adequate street lighting for safety and ambiance. Seating Areas: Comfortable seating for rest and social interaction. Weather Protection: Shelters and shaded areas to protect from sun and rain. 4. Sustainability Green Infrastructure: Rain gardens, permeable pavements, and other features to manage stormwater and reduce urban heat island effects. Energy Efficiency: Use of energy-efficient lighting and renewable energy sources where possible. 5. Mobility and Connectivity Multi-Modal Transportation: Dedicated lanes for bicycles, scooters, and public transport to reduce reliance on cars. Wayfinding Signage: Clear and informative signs to help people navigate the area. 6. When Habitat for Humanity approached Align Design to design a "Pocket Neighborhood" concept, we teamed up with Tracy deShazo Interiors who shares our belief --- higher-density development should have character, charm, and timeless beauty. Together, we focused on creating a design narrative featuring “right sized” homes and a site plan that minimizes asphalt and maximizes walkability. Pocket neighborhoods promote community where homes are arranged in clusters around shared outdoor spaces, fostering a more intimate and neighborly environment. This design for Habitat for Humanity champions collaboration and socializing while maintaining the privacy and comfort of individual homes. Courtyard spaces are designed to serve dual purpose—acting as practical spaces for material storage and volunteer training during the construction phase and gathering spaces for the community once construction is completed. Inspired by traditional Southern architecture, the neighborhood features three distinct home styles, providing variety while maintaining construction efficiency. The inclusion of porches on each home encourages personal expression, giving families the opportunity to add their own touch and creating a vibrant, lived-in feel that enhances the overall community atmosphere. Let us help you turn your development vision into reality with a design that seamlessly blends functionality, beauty, and lasting value. The building's form has evolved from a simple block to a dynamic, energy-efficient structure deeply integrated with its surroundings. Initially conceived with a focus on natural ventilation and light, the addition of a central courtyard enhanced both passive cooling and community interaction. As the design progressed, this courtyard concept expanded towards each end, dividing the building into wings to optimize functionality and spatial efficiency. Integration with an interactive walkway further blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, inviting the public to engage with the building as a vibrant community hub. Throughout its evolution, the design remains rooted in principles of sustainability, promoting physical well-being, and fostering a sense of belonging within the urban landscape. How has the evolution of technology impacted the form and function of buildings? #sustainablearchitecture #communityengagement #energyefficiency #naturalventilation #courtyarddesign #urbanintegration #buildingevolution #communityhub

Thank you EIT Urban Mobility - Urban Mobility Explained (UMX) for including Parkly in the list of innovative companies for tactical urbanism. Parkly stems of its founders experience in the field of urban experiments and placemaking - the tactical urban actions are an impactful way to accelerate positive urban change - and set direction for the future. "We often underestimate the power of fast, visible actions - but in reality these changes, for example street parklets, square projects and pocket parks lets us already experience the improvement and its effects. A well planned tactical urbanism project is always a start of something bigger, and enables planners to make it an interactive process instead of a top down project." says Päivi Raivio, co-founder of Parkly "Parkly is designed so, that it allows maximum flexibility and many ways of use - an important factor for tactical projects in which might change location or arrangement over time. We created Parkly to make it as easy as possible to create positive urban change - but instead of too light and too temporary, the furniture is built to last - and evolve over time. The circular design is one of its kind." Daniel Bumann, co-founder and head of product design. Three Reasons That Ground-Floor Activation Is a Design Ethic, Not Just a Best Practice People are the lifeblood of any city, and they define the urban environment that we covet. Our cities have always been alive and dynamic. How do we keep them that way? One answer: ground-floor activation. When the right spatial considerations are met, cities stay dynamic and, in turn, help us all thrive. The design tactics we use at the ground level are second nature—energized, active frontages; mixed-use developments that open onto streets or plazas; punctuated by pedestrian-friendly design with clear signage and plenty of greenery. I'm thrilled to share the inspiring Mini Mart City Park project! This innovative collaboration between GO'C and SuttonBeresCuller transformed a disused gas station into a vibrant community hub in Seattle. Key Features: Sustainable Transformation: The project prioritized green space, featuring a 3,000-square-foot park and a 1,000-square-foot rooftop terrace with drought-tolerant landscaping and solar panels. Community Connection: The design cleverly integrates a 1,500-square-foot building with an open-air courtyard, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces and fostering community gatherings. Adaptive Reuse: The design subtly references the site's gas station history through details like painted siding and divided windows while creating a space dedicated to art and civic engagement. Flexible Functionality: The main gallery space boasts a pivoting window that can transform into a cafe window, and operable doors on three sides allow the courtyard to become an extension of the gallery. Environmental Remediation: A below-ground system cleanses residual contaminants from the site, highlighting sustainability efforts and offering visitors learning opportunities. Mini Mart City Park is a powerful example of how thoughtful design can transform a brownfield site. It breathes new life into a neglected space while prioritizing environmental responsibility and community needs.
