This is part of a series of webinars on Perspectives. We had a session on a legal perspective on Children's Ministry in churches and had a very good discussion on child safety and church liabilities, together with the team from Covenant Chambers LLC . Many vital conversations we should have so join us on this next one on "Children's Ministry and the Future of the Church"! bit.ly/ttbpastoral
If you’re involved in children’s ministry in your church in any shape, form or fashion, you’re invited to join me for this webinar on “Children’s Ministry and the Future of the Church” on 9 May, 8pm via Zoom! Together with our guests jenni Ho-Huan and Ps Simon Say, we’ll be talking about the value that God places on children, and by extension, the importance of the work that children’s ministry does. After all, if we believe that children’s ministry is not merely babysitting or child-minding, then it’s timely to reevaluate the way that we see children’s ministry and the impact that it exists to have on children, families and the church at large. Registration is now open at bit.ly/ttbpastoral, and it costs only $10 per participant. What’s more, we invite each participant to forward their Zoom link to one other person whom they feel would benefit from this important conversation. So you pay for one, but two get to attend! Esther Foong-Tan and I look forward to seeing you on Zoom on 9 May, 8pm! Drop a comment below if you’ll be coming so we can say hi!

Did you know nearly 67% of American adults don't have a will? If we apply that concept to followers on our platforms, that means nearly 5,000 people who care about children in our community aren’t prepared to protect what matters most. If you’re one of those people, we’d love to help you change that during #NationalMakeAWillMonth. We've partnered with FreeWill to offer a free, online estate-planning tool that will help to secure your legacy. You can include Safe Children Coalition if you so desire, but that’s not required for you to use the free tool. If you decide to include Safe Children Coalition in your plans, you can support our mission and make a lasting impact on the lives of children in our community. Learn how: sccfl.org/legacy-gifts

The voice of the customer is so vital.
As an expert in the child support system, your opinion can help shape the future of child support. We are looking for parents paying and/or receiving child support to participate in focus groups. In these groups, you can tell us what works for you and what doesn't, ask questions, and tell us how you wish things would change for the better. We often hear that children are our future, so why can’t we seem to make significant, systemic investments in our nation’s kids? Together with our friends at Leading for Kids, we recently released a new set of resources dedicated to reframing how we think and talk about kids by broadening Americans’ understanding of care. Caring for children is often seen as the responsibility of certain designated individuals, but when we understand care in such an individualized way, it can be hard to recognize the role that every single person and every single system plays in ensuring the wellbeing of young people. By helping people think about care as collective, inclusive, and expansive, we can move the narrative in a more positive direction. Take a look at the resources: https://bit.ly/3wUcymg
