Hospitality is not just about opening our doors, but opening our hearts. It’s about creating an environment where people feel seen, valued, and cared for. Every gesture, no matter how small, has the power to transform someone's day, and even their life. In a world that can sometimes feel distant, hospitality brings us together, bridging gaps and fostering genuine connection. When we serve with kindness and warmth, we don’t just offer comfort—we offer a sense of belonging. Let’s embrace the opportunity to be the reason someone feels welcomed, appreciated, and uplifted today. Because in hospitality, we don’t just welcome guests; we create lasting impressions that inspire.

Coming from the industry, watching this video reignited feelings I hadn’t experienced in years. It was as if a spark was rekindled, reminding me of why I have this flame in my heart for hospitality—a feeling that has carried me through so many moments of challenge and joy. Hospitality, you see, is a calling. It’s not just a job, and for many of us, it’s a purpose that we carry quietly but powerfully. It’s one of the toughest paths, but also the most rewarding. Hospitality has a unique beauty, the kind that goes beyond service or routine. It’s the understanding that you hold the power to transform a stay into a memory, to turn a night into an unforgettable experience, to make someone feel at home even when they’re far away. You create a space where strangers feel seen and valued, a place where people from all walks of life can share a moment that feels both extraordinary and deeply personal. For every challenge, every long hour, every small task that seems routine, there’s a glimmer of purpose. It’s a privilege that goes unnoticed by many but is felt deeply by those who live it every day. Thank you Profitroom for capturing the heart of a hotelier perfectly! Hoteliers we salute you! #1000HotelStories

💡 Monday's Lesson: Customer is NOT first. ❗ I'd like to share again this impactful short interview from world's top hospitality group Danny Meyer, on the Art of Hospitality. He reminds us that unlike what we've always said, client is not first, is it just second. Your EMPLOYEES are FIRST. Indeed, they are the ones who will transmit this will to make your clients feel good. They are the ones who will be responsible for creating this atmosphere that makes you feel good while being somewhere. Choosing the right team to embody your service matters. More then we think. When hiring staff, always go for 51% skills in emotional management, and the remaining 49% of technical skills. Now I'll let you enjoy this precious bit of knowledge for yourself 💡 https://lnkd.in/epTgAGpx

Thanks Piper Heitzler what an incredible trip to Madame Tussauds Sydney and a town hall of all town halls! I thought it worth sharing a few things I have learned about those who find success at Merlin Entertainments 1- courage, you need it - stand tall on your convictions; 2 - strength and will to drive projects through to the close matter; 3- invest in people, the internal network really matters so spend time getting to know your teammates before you need them; 4- ask questions, understand the business so your solutions can find a home, embrace the scale.
🎥 Reporting live from Madame Tussauds Sydney's newly launched ILLUMINATE space – Townhall on Tour with my co-host Scott O'Neil 🎥 Highlights: 1️⃣ Interviews with Ian Wood, Regional Director, Australia and New Zealand and Richard Dilly, Cluster General Manager, Sydney Attractions, who’ve both been with Merlin Entertainments for 20 years and 17 years, respectively – both across multiple continents. If you are geared for growth and willing to work hard, this company will open up doors for you in cities and countries around the world. 🌍 2️⃣ We are spending a record investment in our existing estate this year and our new openings this season are knocking it out of the park: Nemesis Reborn at Alton Towers Resort, Daemon Gruft at Heide Park Resort, Cadbury Chocolate Quest at Cadbury World, Dino Valley at LEGOLAND California Resort, Minifigure Speedway at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, LEGOLAND® Forest Adventure Lodge at LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort, The LEGO® DUPLO® Peppa Pig™ Area at LEGOLAND Billund Resort & Jelly Universe SEA LIFE Aquariums Bangkok are just a handful of what’s opened this month! 🎢 3️⃣ Anviti Sangwan and Michelle Nicolaou discussed the power of our leadership programs, including ‘Ticket to Lead’, which gives first-time frontline managers the tools to lead themselves and create a dynamic culture for personal growth and belonging within their teams. 530 managers signed up already… 🤩 🛠 4️⃣ Ashley Hayes, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, embodies the “We Care” value in her efforts as a Force for Good, driving the SEA LIFE TRUST and Merlin's Magic Wand initiatives for Australia and New Zealand. Her passion reminded all of us that it doesn’t matter what your title is, we can all play an active part in using the Merlin Entertainments platform to make an impact in the lives of many. ✨
