There’s something special about this time of year—adding a simple pop of red can instantly warm up a space and bring that holiday spirit. We kept it subtle here with a classic leather chair, soft textures, and a little seasonal touch to the mantel and door. It’s all about creating those moments where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the season ❤️ -- project: The Thoroughfare interior design: Rosehill Design Studio | McLean, VA Interior Designer photographer: @sarahbradshawphoto #rosehilldesignstudio #holidaytouches #cozyspaces #christmasdecor #decembervibes

Elegance meets efficiency in this stunning project by Jenny Madden Design. Our layered draperies do more than frame the room beautifully—they're a smart solution for energy conservation. The heavier fabrics serve as a stylish barrier against winter chill, helping to retain heat and potentially reduce energy costs. It's a perfect example of how thoughtful design can seamlessly blend form and function. When we collaborate with designers, we create window treatments that elevate their vision and address practical concerns. With Window Works, there's no need to compromise on style or performance. COLOR DRENCHING simply means painting everything the same shade. Color is like the secret sauce of interior design—it sets the mood, tells a story, and can even affect our emotions. Picking the right color palette is crucial. Colors can visually expand or shrink a room, depending on how you use them. In this space we drew inspiration from my clients favorite color and color drenched the entire space with Agean Teal by @benjaminmoore. This color makes her happy. So we used it in the paint, furniture, window shade and it also showed up in carpet. #ProjectGiveMeButterflies Think about it: warm tones like reds and oranges can make a space feel cozy and inviting, while cooler hues like blues and greens can create a calm, serene vibe. “Take Care Of Your Space So Your Space Can Take Care Of You!” #interiordesignisselfcare #rejuvenationhomestudio #takecareofyourspacesoyourspacecantakecareofyou #TranformYourSpaceElevateYourLife #ColorCultureCharacter #interiorsforyoursoul #colordrenching #closetdesign

In the Loop: A Bold Transformation - Interior Design Alex Meachen Photography Chris Snook - When it comes to design, sometimes the smallest spaces offer the biggest opportunities. - In this compact downstairs loo, we embraced the client’s love for bold artistry, taking inspiration from their striking zebra artwork. The result? A distinctive wallcovering that reimagines stripes with a wild, looped pattern, adding both contrast and fluidity to the space. - We tied it all together by painting the ceiling, woodwork, and trims in a rich dark taupe, amplifying the drama and creating a cohesive, immersive feel. - Proof that even the most functional spaces can make a statement. - #InteriorDesign #ResidentialDesign #BoldSpaces #DesignDetails #LondonInteriors #CreativeTransformation #InteriorInspiration #TailoredDesign

Behind every meticulously curated space lies a philosophy that transcends mere aesthetics – it's about crafting an experience. At Catherine de Meur Interiors, we believe in the transformative power of lighting. It's not just about illuminating a room; it's about sculpting its ambience, curating its mood, and evoking emotion. In our projects, we approach lighting as an art form, carefully selecting each fixture to not only provide warmth but also to add a touch of sculptural brilliance. Whether it's a cascading chandelier that becomes the focal point of a grand foyer or sleek sconces that gently graze the walls of a cozy den, every lighting choice is intentional, adding depth and character to the space. Lighting isn't just functional; it's an opportunity for artistic expression. It allows us to infuse a space with personality and flair, elevating it from ordinary to extraordinary. Designing with color is a powerful way to transform space and evoke emotions. When it comes to interior design, bold colors are often seen as risky. But, when used thoughtfully, they can transform a room, creating depth, personality, and vibrancy. Bold hues make a powerful statement, allowing your space to feel lively and unique. Decorating rooms with bold colors is a creative way to express your personality and make a statement. By balancing bold tones with neutral elements, strategically using color in smaller spaces, and layering through furniture and accessories, you can create a dynamic, visually engaging room without it feeling overwhelming. Don't be afraid to play with color—when done right, bold hues can elevate your home into a work of art.
