Today, we’re thrilled to announce our $15M Series A to provide a compassionate, reliable health guide for everyone. This round is co-led by Rick Heitzmann from FirstMark and Eurie Kim from Forerunner, with continued support from early investors, including Soraya Darabi from TMV and Jess Lee from Sequoia Capital More than any name or number, I’m so proud of this milestone because we’re building with a team of truly mission-driven people My personal experience as a caregiver to my father during his battle with ALS inspired me to build Roon. Navigating the complexities of the healthcare system opened my eyes: At some point, we’ll all face the challenge of caring for ourselves or a loved one through difficult health issues. And I knew there had to be a better way than turning to "Doctor Google."My co-founders Rohan Ramakrishna, MD, and Arun Ranganathan shared this vision as doctors and caregivers. Many of our investors have a meaningful personal connection to our mission. And most inspiringly, thousands of leading physicians in the country have joined us, eager to make their expertise more accessible and fix how the Internet often falls short for health information. Their enthusiasm to scale their impact beyond their clinics at places like Weill Cornell, UCSF, Harvard, Stanford or Columbia has been deeply encouraging. Finally, thank you to our incredible team Joshua Lang, Fatima Alvi, Alice Chen, Naintara (Tara) Rajan, Mackenzie C., Chelsey Larson, RN, BSN, Patrick E Porché Jr, Kelvin De Los Angeles, Koonal Bharadwaj, Ben Powell, Enid Hwang This funding marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter. With it, we’ll expand our platform to cover hundreds of conditions, including critical areas like women’s health, cancer, neurology, metabolic health, and pediatrics. Roon is more than just a company – it’s a movement to reimagine how we care for ourselves and one another. If you’re passionate about creating a better future for health, we invite you to join us. We are actively hiring! "Many of our investors have a meaningful personal connection to our mission". I agree with this statement. Investors must love your vision. Forbes just announced new emerging charitable giving platforms are emerging. That this channel is growing. Ok, so what's new? Givebutter (55 Million from Bessemer) Benevity from Cananda? Processed 3.2 billion in donations in 2023 in a 205 billion SOM. What about Web2/3/4 for the masses on mobile? With transformational technologies, including responsible Gen AI. Managing 10 billion in a new format model nobody can imagine until they see it. Investors must also be very curious. To see the forest for the tree. Just imagine the waste in a 500 billion-dollar charitable/philanthropic industry. Can you see the opportunity?
Couldn’t be more excited and honored to join the team in bringing Roon to life! We all need it!
Roon is revolutionizing the way my patients with #gbm get information front the Internet - I can trust it and I know it’s vetted but there is still diversity in perspective. I can’t wait for other patients and families with serious illness to experience it. Thank you Roon team!

Wow! I recall the terror and stress surrounding patients Dx with GBM and wanting best possible outcome. There was SO MUCH information and so fast which created an even more overwhelming situation. Recall experiencing this a lot and trying my best to help patients in this situation when supporting Dr. Keith Black and the guys at Cedars neurosciences service line.
