I'm excited to share that I have successfully completed the J.P. Morgan Investment Banking Job Simulation on Forage! 🎉 During this immersive experience, I had the opportunity to engage in practical tasks that enhanced my skills in investment banking. Here are some of the key activities I worked on: 🔍 Identified an ideal M&A target for a client based on an assessment of their strategic and financial criteria. 📊 Constructed a DCF model to calculate the valuation of the M&A target and adjusted the model to account for a competitor bid and supply chain interruption. 📝 Created a 2-pager for the client containing a company profile and summary of the auction process. Through this experience, I developed and strengthened various skills, including: client communication, company analysis, cross-team collaboration, DCF, M&A process understanding, M&A screening, modelling, presentation, reacting to changes, and strategic rationale. Today, I completed the J.P. Morgan Chase Investment Banking Job Simulation on Forage. It was an excellent resource which allowed me to get hands-on experience in the tasks an investment banker would undertake to perform a Merger & Acquisition (M&A). In particular, I learnt to: • Identify an ideal M&A target for a client based on an assessment of their strategic and financial criteria. • Construct a DCF model to calculate the valuation of the M&A target and adjust the model to account for a competitor bid and supply chain interruption. • Create a 2-pager for the client containing a company profile and summary of the auction process. Overall, this was a very enriching simulation which has increased my interest in investment banking and greatly improved my understanding of investment banking. I look forward to taking part in some more job simulations like the Forage and J.P. Morgan simulation on their website, exploring what they have to offer and learning from them!
