We are all striving for sainthood, but sometimes it can be difficult to think of practical things we can do to live out holiness in our daily lives. First Witnesses, an Institute for Catholic Formation initiative, wants to help you do just that. Here are 7 ways to become a saint from First Witnesses: - Create a list of reasons you are grateful - Write a kind note to someone in your family. - Donate books and toys to charity - Go all day without electronics and offer the sacrifice for those who are ill. - Reuse paper to write and draw on - Pray for someone in need As Bishop Caggiano says, “Becoming a saint is made one choice at a time." Let's make those choices and strive for sainthood each and every day! This hadith emphasizes the importance of leaving behind a legacy that continues to benefit others even after one's death. The three exceptions mentioned are: Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity): This refers to any form of charity that continues to benefit people over time, such as building a well, funding an institution, or supporting an orphanage. Beneficial knowledge: This includes knowledge that one has imparted to others that continues to be used and spread, such as teaching, writing books, or any other form of disseminating knowledge. A righteous child who prays for him: The supplications of a pious offspring can continue to benefit the deceased. These three forms of ongoing good deeds can provide continuous reward to a person even after they have passed away.

For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. Mathew 26:11 We have countless opportunities to help those in need! Our world is imperfect, and poverty will always be a huge concern. We can actively help those in need by donating to local charities, participating in fundraising for missionary projects, and praying over the hearts of those who are hurting. Prayer is powerful, and we can change the world by calling on the name of the Lord. Dear Lord, we will watch over those in need. You have blessed each of us with skills and finances so we may provide care for those who are physically and spiritually unable to provide for themselves. In Jesus' Name, Amen. #spiritualityandspiritualsouls #brainexpansiongroup

Friends, We’ve been here before and will probably be here again, but one thing about us is that we know how to unite in the middle of a storm. Let’s roll up our sleeves. If you can’t donate, you can definitely offer up a good old-fashioned prayer. I am my brother’s keeper. 🙏 #temperament, #WIDPprofile, #, #authenticity, #intrinsicdesign, #humandevelopment, #needsanddesires, #selfawarenessjourney, #demonstratedbehavior, #creation, #core, #relationships https://lnkd.in/eBgdjVUq

In the fast-paced business world, it's easy to overlook the importance of giving back. Pastor, Here's something radical to teach your people about giving... The Bible says that we should give "beyond our ability!" 2 Cor 8:3: For I testify that according to their ability, and beyond their ability, they gave of their own accord. (NASB 1995) Salvation is free, but stewardship is costly. Few of us really give sacrificially. Most of us adjust our standard of giving to our standard of living. Instead, we should adjust our standard of living to our standard of giving. #churchcapitalcampaigns #churchstewardship #churchfundraising #nonprofitfundraising #charitablegiving #faithbasedorganizations

Matthew 6:3-4 offers profound guidance on the virtue of giving to those in need with humility and sincerity. It advises individuals to practice generosity discreetly, without seeking recognition or praise. By emphasizing the importance of keeping one's charitable deeds private, the passage underscores the purity of intention behind acts of kindness. It encourages a selfless approach to giving, rooted in compassion and empathy for others. The verse highlights the belief that genuine acts of charity, performed quietly and without expectation of public acclaim, are seen and appreciated by a higher power. It suggests that such humble generosity will be rewarded by divine grace and blessings. Let us embody the spirit of anonymous giving, knowing that our benevolent actions, carried out in secret, hold immeasurable value in the eyes of God. 💖 #Matthew6_3_4 #Charity #Humility

Dear #Pastor, Aren't you tired and fed up of being tired and fed up? Have you noticed it is those of us who know Jesus that tend to be the poorest community in society? You pastor a #church with a congregation who are probably 80% on the poverty line or below. Or who live at best a mediocre or maybe average life financially. You have grandiose ideas of building a new church space or helping a group of people and have to raise money to do so. It is taking you 2 or up to 5 years or even more to get the money from your congregation. In fact, someone should pay you for the work that is done in preparation for the collection of these donations - it takes much to collect from people who are not wealthy.😰😰 Something is missing and YOU KNOW it. Everything begins with a THOUGHT! Happy to have a conversation with you to set you up so that you and your congregation can have more. This is an invitation to my DM. See you there. Quit managing. Start Abundance-ing.
