DON'T OVERWHELM THE LITTLE ONES! As a seasoned dad, coach, and lifelong sports enthusiast, I understand the importance of fostering joy and fun in children's physical activities, including cycling. 🚴 Unfortunately, parents, in their enthusiasm, can sometimes push their children too hard, leading to frustration and a loss of joy and enthusiasm for cycling. That's exactly what we want to avoid! So, what can we do? ✅ Choose the right bike wisely. Before heading to the store, make sure your child is with you and has a chance to try out the bike. It should be lightweight, have age- and height-appropriate geometry, and be properly adjusted. Your child should feel comfortable and safe riding it. ✅Don't underestimate the terrain and route. Start with shorter, less demanding routes. Gradually, as your child's strength and experience grow, you can extend and toughen up the route. ✅Make the ride fun! Show your child that cycling is fun! Discover new and interesting places together, plan your route together, and enjoy fun exercise.Cycling brings people together, so go on a trip with another family! More cyclists, more fun!😄 ✅Spice up the ride! Stop for ice cream, organize races, venture off the bike path onto a trail for some adrenaline, play hide-and-seek in the woods... the possibilities are endless! ✅Watch out for fatigue. Even the most enthusiastic cyclist has their limits. If your child shows signs of tiredness, don't force them to keep pedaling. Take a break, rest, and then set off again with renewed energy. ✅Motivate Be a role model and support for your child. Motivate them, encourage them, and don't forget to appreciate their efforts. And of course, lots of praise! 😉 Remember: It's not about covering the most miles, but about enjoying the ride and spending time with your child. Cycling should be a source of joy and fun for the whole family, not stress and exhaustion.👍 What about you? What tips do you have for making bike rides with kids more fun? #Beany #BestKidsBikes #cycling #sport

This is our Story. For well over a decade, people would meet in a small dark cycling studio in Chicago. There would be students, teachers, business professionals, entrepreneurs, and people of all ages and abilities. 🚲The studio was often referred to as “Church”. And for years on end, people would show up on a Thursday night to find their peace and power on a stationary bike. 🌠The room was often pitch black. 📵The people would put their towels over their bike computers so as to not get lost in the data. 🎶The music was curated to take them on a journey. 🚲It created a Peak FLOW state. Every. Single. Time. So much so that there was once a fight outside in the line to get into the studio for bikes. (but that’s a whole different story) Taking this idea of Flow state and what it does for people, we started dragging cycling equipment all over the world. Filming cycling classes in very unique places… 🌋Volcanoes 🧊Glaciers ⛪Churches 🏜️Deserts And so much more. We wanted to give gyms the opportunity to have cycling classes on demand and in Surreal type places to give people a sense of awe, a sense of wonder, a moment to connect, all while moving their bodies. 🚲Surreal Cycling not only gives gyms and studios the ability to have this unique cycling opportunity for their members, it also that helps them with: 1️⃣Creating even more community within your community 2️⃣Increases Member fulfillment and satisfaction 3️⃣Creates Class reliability & predictability 4️⃣Customization of programming for your members 5️⃣Cost savings and revenue generation And so much more. 🆓But don’t take our word for it, try out app out for free. MOVEMENT IS JOY. JOY IS CYCLING From the very beginning, Beany bikes have been created with joy in mind. Joy for us, who design and manufacture them with love, but above all for all the children who explore the world on them with a smile. 😊 Cycling is an amazing adventure for them. It's a great way to get exercise, develop motor skills, boost self-confidence and have endless fun!🚴 In order for a child to love their bike, it's important that they feel comfortable riding it. 👉 Don't underestimate the importance of choosing the right bike. The bike should fit the child perfectly, be light and easy to handle. Only then will cycling be fun for them and they will eagerly seek it out. The best choice is a Beany superlight bike.🤩 We develop our bikes in collaboration with pediatric physiotherapists to ensure a healthy, safe and comfortable ride for all little explorers. Movement is joy. If a child perceives movement as fun and enjoyable, they will naturally seek it out. And that's the most important thing for their healthy development and happiness. If they fall in love with cycling from childhood, it will be their companion for life. Be a guide for your little cyclists and create the most beautiful cycling memories together and enjoy the joy of movement.👍 #Beany #BestKidsBikes #cycling #sport

Rust never Sleeps….. said an iconic Canadian rockstar once…. 400 hours and counting. This year seems to be moving at a quickened pace, with still lots to try and achieve. The reason I do the job I do, is to help and empower riders of all abilities to overcome their physical and biomechanical barriers, whether it’s just to be comfortable to ride injury free or get them to the finish line of a great life changing cycling event. The only way to do this is with a one-to-one rider to fitter connection, fitting and follow up sessions and so far with bike fitting, ongoing training (of other fitters and myself), Tech support to other fitters of software migration, I have amassed some 400+ hours in the Retül Fit Studio this year (2024) and the diary is looking pretty full going into the remainder of 2024 too. I too have struggled with riding a bike this year, fitness has dropped like a stone in the ocean and with age it’s become a challenge… so I use myself as my own Guinea Pig, trialing options that may work for other riders. Seeking guidance from my peers around the Bike Fitting globe, taking on a 2 year part time diploma in Sport Science….to increase my knowledge and understanding of how a rider moves on the bike. Yep, Rust indeed never sleeps and the only way to offer a better service is to continue to learn, seek new ways to see things, harness technology to the benefit of a rider and their needs, and not the other way round! Bike Fit, like Cycling is so much a moving target, which is why I love the challenge. So bring on the remainder of the year and let’s see how many more riders I can set on a path of enjoyment on their bikes 🙂 #bikefit #bikefitting #retül #retülfit #sportscience #cycling Specialized Bicycle Components SPECIALIZED CONCEPT STORE (NOTTINGHAM) LIMITED @retül_technology
