I've been so busy this week, I missed my own two-year anniversary at Fortune! Well, happy two years to me! It's been a very cool and productive ride so far. That's probably my favorite word: productive. Everything I do is with that in mind.. how can we do it quickly, smoothly, productively, without compromising anything? Not always easy, but that's the only energy I'm trying to put out. Throughout all the changes, since I started in 2020, I've been able to: - Completely overhaul and upgrade the outdated network services and access points at our HQ, completely from the bottom up - Create and implement a beautiful asset tracking system (no more spreadsheets) - Help build an automation process for all onboarding processes, including access groups, installed software, and more - Internally promote two (soon to be three) direct reports of mine to higher positions (including one of them now being a people manager), while maintaining a very diverse team under any metric you can think of - Help lead and transform our Return to Office efforts - including upgrading all of our Conference rooms (making them Zoom Video and Teams Video ready at any moment), building out the ability to schedule any and all rooms in the office as well - Become an official mentor to numerous associates at the company and help guide them on their journey, advocate for increased racial diversity at the org, assist in different ways we write our job listings and seek talent to be more intentional with diversity.. ..and really, so much more. I'm thankful for the trust folks at the company give me, but I've got so much more table-shaking planned and so much more to accomplish. Let's get to it. 🥂🤝🏾

𝗢𝗳𝗳𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱: 𝟯 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 Two weeks have passed since our bi-annual company offsite. This time, we spent an incredible week in Mallorca and I'm still amazed. It was an event that did not only leave us with lasting memories, but also helped us strengthen our special company culture once more. For sure the stunning location ☀️ provided the perfect backdrop for our team members to connect. But in the end it’s the thoughtful design that is key to impactful offsites. Here are some key takeaways from our autumn offsite: 1️⃣ Prioritize personal connections:  Instead of allocating time to work on projects (which we do remotely very well) we dedicated a lot of time to foster deeper bonds among team members. While structured team activities are great, dedicated time for socializing and in-depth non-work related discussions is equally important. These unstructured moments during meals, poolside gatherings and beach outings helped deepen connections. 2️⃣ Encourage team-led sessions:  Empower team members to co-create their own sessions on topics they're passionate about, whether it's work-related or personal. This is a great way to showcase individual interests and connect with colleagues who share similar passions. 3️⃣ Embrace the Joy of Missing Out (JOMO):  Offer a variety of activities, but also encourage team members to follow their own flow. This flexibility allows individuals to use some time to recharge and enjoy some personal time in between activities. Big Kudos to Andrea Strohmayr, from Culture By Design, who helped us shape this event and experience. ⭐️ We fully achieved our goal of deepening team connections, and I'm really looking forward to our next offsite already. Summer Team Retreat: A Productive Offsite Experience! ☀️ Our team spent two days away from the office in a beautiful and bucolic setting. I discover why offsite retreats are so beneficial: 🤝 Deeper Connections: We had the chance to get to know each other on a personal level. These interactions helped us understand each other's strengths and perspectives, which is vital for effective teamwork. 🤗 Enhanced Collaboration: We organized Focus sessions on different topics that have promoted new ideas to improve our daily work and effectiveness. 🙏🏼 Increased Trust: We strengthened our trust in one another through team-building activities and collaborative problem-solving.
