Today I attended a super interesting session with Launchmetrics about holiday marketing strategy ✨ The data from their report was based on a survey they run this summer across their partners. Here are some interesting highlights I'd like to share with you 🤓 : ▶️ 50% of their partners replied that they are going to use 25-50% of their budget on holidays campaign (Black Friday, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Xmas). ▶️ Buying too much stuff is not cool anymore - today is one of the most unusual shopping time we ever had across US, UK, Europe. Consumers are more conscious, they often have a list of items, which they want to buy at the best price during Black Friday. They are planning ahead rather than buying impulsively. ▶️ Consumers are smarter, strategic with shopping and with a limited budget. Brands should guide them rather than pushing them during the purchase experience. ▶️ People experience tense feelings during the holidays, so brands should make sure to make their shopping experience as easy as possible. Focusing on product availability, both online and in-store. ▶️ Personalised discounts in-store can boost customer trust. Today people prefer something more personalised rather than generic discounts. Christmas In September?...Time To Get Ready! For many, the past few weeks have felt more like winter than the heights of summer, giving brands the perfect excuse to start thinking about the highlight of the festive period - Christmas! Retailers should take this opportunity to get in the Christmas cheer as they start planning their seasonal activity. With Christmas the "largest trading time of the year", what can you do to stand out? Start reviewing and organising your multi-channel outreach. If you want to get this experience right, you need to go back to basics and start taking steps now! The key to a successful festive period also relies upon a number of activities which you should start now. Ho Ho! Tis the time of the year!! When it comes to making an impact during the festive season, retention-centric offers are like Santa’s secret sleigh—they deliver joy to your customers and drive long-term growth for your brand. 🎅 Let’s unwrap why these thoughtful promotions are a game-changer and how they create magic for your business. 🎁 Emotional Connection : The Heart of Retention Offers Festivals like Christmas 🎄 bring out nostalgia, warmth, and the joy of giving. Retention-centric offers tap into this emotional vibe, creating meaningful moments between your brand and your customers. When you pair a festive code like “XMAS” or “JESUS” with a special offer, you’re not just giving discounts—you’re delivering a heartfelt experience that resonates. For instance, surprising your customers with a few hours of exclusive discounts on your highest-priced product (aligned with your AOV) is a delightful way to say, “You’re special to us!” This gesture not only encourages purchases but also builds loyalty that lasts long after the holiday season. 💸💰 How to Make the Magic Work 🏃🏻♀️Timely Surprises: Plan the sale during high-engagement hours to maximize participation. Send teaser messages beforehand to build excitement. 💲Exclusive Codes: Use festive, easy-to-remember codes like "XMAS" or "JESUS" to add to the seasonal vibe. ⏳Limited Timeframe: Create urgency by making the offer valid for just a few hours. This drives impulse buys and boosts sales quickly. 📈Highlight Premium Products: Focus on your top-tier offerings to increase perceived value and AOV. Retention Offers: The Gift That Keeps Giving 🥳 Retention-centric offers are more than just sales tactics—they’re about nurturing relationships. They show your customers that you value them, not just during Christmas but year-round. This sense of connection fosters loyalty, increases repeat purchases, and ensures your customers keep coming back for more. This holiday season, let your retention strategy be the Santa that keeps on giving—joy to your customers and growth to your brand! 🎅🎄 #RetentionMarketing #EmailMarketing #WAMarketing #SMSMarketing #RetentionStrategy #RetentionL&D #RetentionLearning #RetentionTraining

It’s Time to Talk the Big C… It’s a great week in the office for me as it’s all about my favourite time of the year. The ideal time to start planning your Christmas marketing campaign is between July and September. Why? Because the holiday shopping timeline is earlier than you think – most gifts are purchased well before December! While it may seem too soon for a full-blown Christmas campaign, your early-bird strategy should be ready to roll out in the coming weeks. Those early shoppers are a golden opportunity to not only drive sales but also to build lasting customer relationships. Christmas may feel like a one-time event, but with the right approach, you can turn seasonal buyers into loyal customers year-round. Get ahead of the curve – plan now for a successful holiday season! 🎅 #ChristmasMarketing #HolidayCampaign #MarketingStrategy #CustomerLoyalty
