Tonight VDS's #ValenciaDigitalSummit close. Amazing event, grown from a local event with a few hundred participants to a global event attracting 12 000 visitors. And venue, oh gosh, it's the City of Sciences and Arts, and it's amazing! There were many talks about forming and managing remote teams, working cross-border and cross-cultures, how enabling and critical it is, and how challenging it is. Interestingly enough, HRTech isn't much shown here - hope to see more startups of this area next year. I was amazed to hear Diana Morant Ripoll, Spain's Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, focusing in her closing keynote specifically on the importance of Knowledge Management for the future. Yes, KM is always looking into future by reflecting on past, and it's always a long-time investment. On the personal side, I was amazed to see so many folks from Russia and Ukraine, working together as always common sense is stronger than politics. Looks like Communitat Valenciana really welcomes and becomes a good and productive place for us, meaning many talented people finding a new free, supportive and open-minded place to launch their ideas and apply their knowledge. Viva la gestión de conocimiento, and long live Knowledge Management!

This year proved to me yet again that crossing borders 🌍 isn't just about geography, but about connecting human potential across technology, culture, and personal challenge. I keep realizing that the most significant innovations happen at the intersection of strategy and genuine connection. DAC.digital's recognition in Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 wasn't just about growth—it was about proving that Polish tech in collaboration with international partners and customers can drive genuine technological breakthroughs. Key Moments That Defined Our Journey in 2024? • Scaling DAC.digital's impact across AI and software divisions, helping us become a top digital agency and AI development company in Poland • Bridging tech ecosystems through the SoDA Ambassador program, creating pathways for international collaboration • Launching AI and computer vision solutions that for some of our customers reduced manufacturing defect rates by 90% My 560 km bikepacking expedition from Berlin to Gdańsk became more than a personal challenge—it was a metaphor for how we build connections (for me on a business and private level for both DAC.digital and punktum). Thank you, Dortmund! 🇩🇪 ⚡ Last week, I had the chance to be invited by the Economic Development Agency Dortmund (cc Sabrina Christian) to take part in the Digital Week. Three days full of learning and discoveries in North Rhine-Westphalia. A city once industrial, transformed into a tech hub in just two decades. A remarkable transformation that commands respect. I attended a very interesting workshop on "How Not to Miss Your Expansion into Germany." It was a great opportunity to understand German culture, particularly its decentralization. The first takeaway is that "Germany" doesn’t exist in the same way we refer to "France"—there are "many Germanys." The Länder (federal states) and cities have a level of political autonomy that’s very different from France. For example, North Rhine-Westphalia is eager to attract French startups and businesses, while Berlin and Munich are saturated (cc Gernot Schwendtner). One of the highlights was a very interesting discussion on smart cities with Michael Dunker from adesso SE. We observe the same challenges as in France and Spain⤵️ > Data centralization is the key battleground > There’s a proliferation of siloed solutions > We're only at the beginning of cities and buildings' digitalization It was also a great opportunity to share our respective experiences with startups from various countries like Romania, Finland (Miikka), Belgium (Han), Portugal (Nuno), Spain (Francisco), Sweden, Ukraine, and many more. An incredible cultural experience. Thanks to Amiens Métropole, which facilitated the joint trip with Alva Systems to boost economic and cultural exchanges with this German twin city (cc Charlotte Sébastien Joseph). Big ideas, bigger connections: What I learned at Oslo Innovation Week’s amazing kickoff. Huge shoutout to Oslo Innovation Week and Mesh Oslo and the incredible organizers for an unforgettable opening night! 🙌 It was my first time attending, and I can already say—it won’t be my last! Meeting so many brilliant minds left me inspired. We live in such an exciting time where innovation is moving at breakneck speed. Think about it: A few years ago, most of us could only dream about the tech we’re using today. Now, it’s everywhere, changing industries and driving progress in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Here are my 3 takeaways from the event: ➡️Innovation sparks when great minds come together ➡️Technology is only as powerful as the people behind it ➡️Community is EVERYTHING This event was a powerful reminder that staying curious and connecting with others is key to thriving in this rapidly evolving landscape. The conversations I had yesterday only confirmed it — the future is NOW.
