A month ago I went through the 4 hours long examination process in order to try to earn the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) certificate in the Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR®). This certificate was developed by the world-leading senior risk practitioners, climate experts, and sustainability professionals. GARP’s SCR Program provides pivotal knowledge into the complex territories of sustainability and climate risk, as well as key insights into regulatory initiatives, reporting requirements, green finance instruments, nature risk, transition planning, and more. The SCR Exam assesses knowledge across the following topics: • Foundations of Climate Change: What Is Climate Change? • Sustainability, • Climate Change Risk, • Sustainability and Climate Policy, Culture, and Governance, • Green and Sustainable Finance: Markets and Instruments, • Climate Risk Measurement and Management, • Climate Models and Scenario Analysis, • Net Zero, • Climate and Nature Risk Assessment, • Transition Planning and Carbon Reporting.   And today the big news came: I made it!!!!! #garpscrexam #climaterisk #sustainabilityrisk #garpscroctober2024

🎓 I have enhanced my expertise in risk management, now including Sustainability and Climate Risk, by earning the SCR certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals. I want to highlight a few key points about this achievement: ▫ It took me 3 months of intense learning. ▫ I passed a challenging practice exam. ▫ The study materials covered 8 subtopics: Foundations of Climate Change: What Is Climate Change?; Sustainability; Climate Change Risk; Sustainability and Climate Policy, Culture, and Governance; Green and Sustainable Finance: Markets and Instruments; Climate Risk Measurement and Management; Climate Models and Scenario Analysis; Net Zero. The course was worth every dollar and helped me transition from a mild skeptic to a strong supporter of achieving net zero. #GARP #SCR #ClimateRisk #RiskManagement
