Why the Offer to Joining Ratio is an Important Recruitment Metric: Recently, I was advising a TA Manager on recruitment metrics, and I suggested tracking the offer to joining ratio as well. She responded by saying, "But isn’t the offer to joining ratio beyond a recruiter’s control? Does it really make sense to measure this?" In my opinion, the offer to joining ratio is still a very important metric because it can highlight larger problems in the hiring process. If your offer to joining ratio is low, it could be due to one or more of the following reasons: # Your employer branding may need improvement. # Your compensation and benefits may not be as competitive. # Recruiters and hiring managers may need to sell the role better. # You could be targeting the wrong candidates. # The candidate experience during interviews might not be up to the mark. By conducting candidate experience surveys and speaking to candidates who have declined offers, you can identify the underlying issues and take steps to improve them.
